Credentials are conveyed by different churches under different requirements.

You could become a ULC minister in 2 minutes with a click. You could only become a UEW one with a college degree, verifiable experience and skills testing.

Or do you mean something like how a church is accredited? (In most countries, they aren't)

If you are taking about the legal establishment of a church, you must first be incorporated as a non-profit corporation within your state through the Secretary of State's Office. This is a simple matter and can be done on-line and is very inexpensive---in Texas it cost $40.00. Then, you must file for 501 (c) (3) tax exemption with the IRS. This is a lengthy process requiring lots of paperwork that you can download on line from the IRS, and will cost you between $500.00-900.00 in a filing fee. Churches are not accredited in the US.

If you are talking about applying to a church as a minister, each church or denomination has its own rules---there is no national standard and most states do not require the licensing of or the registration of ministers. For example, in Texas any properly ordained minister (such as myself) can perform a wedding and sign the marriage license. There are no State requirements for preaching a funeral or officiating over congregation.
