I try to respect everyone until they do something to diminish it.

I feel there are 2 kinds of respect.
Common courtesy, which you do not need to earn. I TRY to show this to everyone, everyday.
The other kind is earned or by "Wowing" me on a fairly regular basis. For example, some of the users in R&S have my respect because, even though we do not share the same opinion, they have Wowed me with their thought processes and respect for others feelings/thoughts.

By living in a manner consistant with the teachings of the religion they follow and completely and totally disregarding any authority outside of their religion.

By treating me the way I treat them.
If Ive been vulgar, its only natural for them to be vulgar.
But if Ive been nice, and tolerant and accepting, I will ask the same.
And Im open enough to say when I deserve to be treated with less.

by being honest, knowledgeable, showing tolerance, having some sense of humor, and being just respectful in general

Being respectful, truthful, and kind. Regardless if they are a christian, muslim, or aethiest like myself, if you can demonstrate these qualities, I couldn't care less what religion you have.

they care about other people instead of just themselves. i also tend to respect religious people and people who don't swear more. they also have to just be themselves. they sacrifice for others.
