I'm not a Muslim.

But a bit concerned. *lol*

It is evident that Muslims very disproportionately perpetrate the extraordinary amounts of violence utilized against Christians. The reason for this is the violent, intolerant teachings of the Qur’an that encourage such acts to be carried out against groups that refuse to submit to and follow Islam.

I'd appreciate any suggestions of changes and/or additions.

Thanks.

I have this person in my life who sends signals that she really does not like me. She doesn't really say why but I think she is holding a grude over me. I know why she may feel anger but I have tried very hard to make her see things differenttly and I still feel the weight of her judgement by the way she treats me.. She is a Christian and this thing I did has absolutly nothing to do with her at all. My ex came to me during a weak time in my life and I gave in to a realationship with him that I knew was wrong and it lasted about 5 months but after that I brought closure to the realtionship and got my life on track. That was almost 4 years ago and other than that I have remained a comitted Christian. I was vulnerable to my ex because we were married and have kids. He is remarried and that is where I messed up. He was the one who came to me and said he was not happy. I gave in and now she will never let me live it down. Am I branded for life?

Why? Why teach a young child which, is 100%, will believe every single word you say regardless of how intelligent it is. And teaching this child something your not even 100% sure of? Why?

Just requesting responses, on why people even think of doing this.

I mean, being a lady is awful!!! Why did God have to make some people ladies so they'd have to suffer all the cruelities women suffer(being inferior, being treated terribly in history, harder to get a loan, etc.) And then, to make it even more grand, we have to have birth pains and submit to our husband.Genesis 3:16. We will "be saved through childbearing". So, basically, we're inferior, have to submit, and it's our "priveleged" duty to have children through birth pains.
Why did God have to make this happen? Is there anything good about being a woman? Do you feel it is a "gift" from God?

judgmental person, and how can you do it if it is a big part of your natural personality? I have prayed to God for help in countering my judging nature but I don't seem to make any progress.

It's interesting that there is so much ridicule and anger about a philosophical system. I think there are a lot of misconceptions about Buddhism and if I can help you better understand it would be my honor, if not that's ok too.
Best to all of you.

As defined by Richard Dawkins in The Selfish Gene (1976): "a unit of cultural transmission, or a unit of imitation." "Examples of memes are tunes, ideas, catch-phrases, clothes fashions, ways of making pots or of building arches. Just as genes propagate themselves in the gene pool by leaping from body to body via sperms or eggs, so memes propagate themselves in the meme pool by leaping from brain to brain via a process which, in the broad sense, can be called imitation. ...

OK, say I reject your god. From what I gather, there are two opinions on this

a) you will be roasted over a lake of fire by demons for eternity
b) you die the 'second death' meaning you are, for all eternity, gone.

My questions are
- is this correct or have I misunderstood?
- which group believes what?
- are there other christian beliefs that are different?

For the 'second death' group an additional question, what would it take to actually get into hell, or is that all a scam?

What is it called when you meditate on a unanswerable question – like “what is the sound of one hand clapping”.

I have found that this works for me in all kinds of situations, sometimes revealing answers to me that I don’t think I would have found by using linear thought processes.

I am not a Buddhist, but if something makes life simpler I’m happy to use it. I’d just like to know what its called.

This question assumes that he exists in the first place. If he does, why can't he keep his promise and let us live happil;y ever after because Jesus died for us. We never had a choice of who should carry our sins and if we reject Jesus a loving God should still keep his promise of redemption!

When a country isn liberated from colonialism or oppressors, it does not matter whether I accept the liberators, I remain a citizen of that cvountry. Why can't God keep his citizens?

What right do you people have to say that if i don't believe in god, that i am a sinner or i will go to hell or i will be punished.

I am a very soulful person, who chooses not to believe in a GOD.

You have not right to say things like that to people who choose not to believe in your god!!

And who are you all to say that this is what your god says and believes?

The bible was written by man, i believe as a control mechanism, this is a very good psycological way of controlling people to act the way that you want them to.

Just because i choose not to believe in a god, does not make me a bad person, i actually believe it makes me a better person, as i am not governed ny someone else rules.

I see all individuals as they should be, weather they be Gay or straight, black white or Green.

Religion strikes me as a narrow minded way of life!

No disrespect to you if you choose to believe.
