It does not seem like it at all yet some people claim to be Christian and simultaneously fascist. Jesus taught peace, love and the brotherhood of humanity. Fascists bring war , oppression, racism and conflict everywhere they go. Would spreading fascism under the name of Jesus actually be anti-christian?

So I was just reading this answer- the question is really irrelivent- and this woman said something to the extent of "so you don't believe in noah's ark either? There's more water than land on the earth so it has to be true." Do all christians think that the amount of water on the earth proves the ark story??

fifth commandment says thou shall not kill, but it does NOT say thou shall not abort babies/fetuses? Arent you christians taking it out of context? Why is it that ive seen christians excuse kill as thou shall not murder, yet they have huge hang ups when non christians take life into thier own hands?

In life I mostly observe good people who have drawn the wrong conclusions in life or people who make mistakes with good intentions but their actions were wrong.

Where is this devil that people make deals with?

Where is the guy on the mountain promising us the world?

I read one post that being taught your parent's religion is the same as being abused. Please help me, because I don't see the logic in this.
How is a man having sex with a child the same as being taught that there is a God?
How is having your arm broken by your father the same as being told that God loves you?
Children being abused is a serious topic. They grow up to have many problems and have to struggle to get over their abuse.
Being forced to go to church is not the same as being molested by your father at night while your mother is aware of this and does nothing.
Also, for those who would like to help a child then consider being a court appointed child advocate.

When Laci Peterson and her baby were found dead near San Francisco, the law treated it as a double homicide.....which spells 'death penalty' in California.

The baby wasn't born yet.....but it was still considered a double homicide. So why the hypocrisy?

Let's turn this around: If Laci was pregnant with twins and decided to get an abortion....why wouldn't that be a double homicide?

Hypocrital America...........

I am not refering to the terrible people who go around doing all sorts of crimes and evil, and then they demand that no one judge them.

I am refering to the people who claim that they are Christians, or religious, or spiritual. I am specifically refering to the ones who brand people.

Also, I am refering to judging people, not actions (not crimes or sins).

I hear people say things like " The Truth of Jesus Christ " and stuff like that all the time. But is it the Truth? Do they know it because they feel it? Do they feel it because they know it?

I tend to use the word Truth differantly.

I can have Faith that my car will get me to work today.
I can Believe that my car will get me to work today.
I will not KNOW that my car will get me to work today until it actually gets me to work.

And thats the Truth.

You know how when you are church hopping, trying to find a good church...every one stops the service and says "Greet someone new around you..." I hate that. How many folks want to go to a place where they know no one at all, and start hugging folks, perfect strangers? It's so uncomfortable for most of us, but they all do it!

I heard a lot of Atheists that are againts superstition.

Well, I'm from Asia and some of the natives here believe that they should not cut down trees because the soul of their ancestors are in these trees. So, would Atheists stand againts them for trying to save the enviroment, or is it better for them to modernize?

Before you pointing out "How do you build stuff with no wood?", I'm just gonna say it's just a couple of big trees and certain type of trees.

Prayer and positive thinking have been known to cure many people. It's just like placebo.

You shouldn't get into the jungle at night, there are spirits in them woods. Or maybe spirits is just old people language for tigers and elephants.

Anyways, in theory here that behind every superstition that we believe, there's a damn good reason why we should follow. But, over time these reasons are forgotten by everyone.

So, will the Atheists stop the natives from saving the trees? ;)
