When Jesus was on the cross why did He get pierced with a spear in His side ?

They wanted to make sure he was dead, The other 2 that was on the cross their legs was broken, But it was Prophcied that The mesiah will not have any broken bones, Therefore They pierce his side & that was also a type of something for us, Because out came Blood & water, That was a type of The blood offering & the water baptism. And they had to make sure Christ was dead, because the sabbath was about to begin, & they had to get him off the cross before the sabbath.

He was pierced to see if He was already dead. After the three crucifixions took place, there was an earthquake. The Romans soldiers wanted to leave the area. They broke the knees of the thieves on the crosses to hasten their deaths, but when they came to Jesus He looked dead. To check this, they pierced his side. Blood and water poured out and they knew He was dead.

to prove that he was human. and that he bled like everyone else.

kinda stupid because everyone knew he was human.
