At first I was like, oh cool, I'm recognized! Top contributor? Wow, I'm the ONE top contributor! Then I realized, hey, maybe I'm not THE top contributor, maybe this is a button for the "most posts" club or something. Yep, that's what it is.
Then I got a little embarrassed, 'cause it also means I spend too much time here, lol!

My first reaction was "oh lovely.. now we get even more of a target on our backs".
I don't like labels, and I've seen a ton of posts in the last couple of days from people either complaining that they don't have the title or attacking us for our posts with things like "and they call YOU a top contributor?"

At first I couldn't imagine what I might have done to earn this. Then a few seconds later I realized that it meant I spend too much time on the computer, specifically, here at Yahoo! Answers.

Today was the first day I logged in and saw mine (I've been gone a few days).
Honestly what I thought was, oh great, more stuff to make the pages load even slower now...

I saw it first on a friend's avatar, and I thought, "Hey, cool! Look at what she got!". Then a few seconds later, they popped up everywhere, including on mine. I was quite surprised. Some of my friends were annoyed because it cut their names off and made their pictures smaller.

I'd like to learn more about it. I don't feel that mine represents me fully, as there are two other rooms where I spend time. Apparently I haven't answered quite enough questions for them to show up though.
Other than that, it's cool to see where people hang out.
I swelled with pride when I saw it.

There are so many of us it's hard to see what makes it special. It's as if we've all been promoted to General at the same time... big deal.
Also, it hides part of my name for some reason. What was the point in that?
