If evolution is a total lie like you claim it is then why do people look like gorillas and apes and chimpanzees and monkeys and all of these different kinds of animals? Or is it that Satan is making me have these hallucinations? All are welcome to answer this question.

Please answer with real answers. jabs are ok if they have a point. I really would like some good back and forth here. If you hate it, why? who made you hate it so? if you love it why? Do you really love it or are you doing what you were told. that is what many here in R&S say "christians only do what they were told to do in youth". are you a real Christian? are there real non-believers out there that believe in NOTHING?

to the former religion I use to practice ?

These attachments are causing major hindrances in moving upward mindfully in the steps {The Eightfold Path) toward Happiness. Disatisfaction happens.
Had been in my former religion for 28 yrs., and have been a student of Buddhism for just a little over one year. Learned/understood the texts {of that former religion), which I had practiced in, in their original languages in order to accurately comprehend their orginal meanings.
I took the way of life I chose very seriously !
Just as I take the way/path of life {Buddhism)
which I choose a year ago, very seriously as well.

As much advise, and excellent books to read on Detachments {in Buddhism) would be greatly appreciated, "from experienced Buddhists who have been seriously practicing Buddhism for a while."

all my life. I prayed, I went to church and I respected God. Ever since I have this woman in my life ( my mother in law) I feel that I'm pushing religion away. Because of her constant preaching and badgering, I don't want to acknowledge it at all. When she mentions God or religion, I do a little eye roll in my head, as if I'm saying...here we go again. I want to keep my faith and want God to stay strong in my life. What can I do to stay strong?

I don't know if my search for God is going to be successful so in the event that I don't find him, how do I find contentment and avoid blowing my brains out with a .45 magnum as a result of the sheer despair? It seems to me that if the universe is getting ready to kill us all and that all good things are in vain, there is cause for only despair for those of us who care about the future of humanity.

Would my Muslim Brothers and Sisters help me out here. I see a repeatative pattern here. Not too many people here understand Islam even to a simple degree. So many people claim Islam preaches intolerance, violence and many other things Islam is not. Some will even take fragments of the Qur'an and say this is Islam but they do not understand what they are reading. For istance Muslims are suppose to kill non-Muslims? The Prophet Muhammad never practiced this.

So would my Brothers and Sisters please help clarify what Islam truly is? It is clear that not much of any non-Muslims posting here understand it.

I'm not here to bash Christians, or anyone elses beliefs ... to each their own ... but, if I'm honest, "faith" based religous people freak me out ... why? because I think it's crazy not to ask questions ... and there are so many different ideas our there to draw from, and I know for me, i'm not afraid to see how far down the rabbit hole goes ... so I ask people of faith, is it so bad to question the bible? ... even something as simple as watching the movie "What the bleep do we know?"
