Would my Muslim Brothers and Sisters help me out here. I see a repeatative pattern here. Not too many people here understand Islam even to a simple degree. So many people claim Islam preaches intolerance, violence and many other things Islam is not. Some will even take fragments of the Qur'an and say this is Islam but they do not understand what they are reading. For istance Muslims are suppose to kill non-Muslims? The Prophet Muhammad never practiced this.

So would my Brothers and Sisters please help clarify what Islam truly is? It is clear that not much of any non-Muslims posting here understand it.

I'm not a Muslim, but I appreciate that you don't try to shove your beliefs down our throats like most Christians on here try to do!

Of course I will!

Quick background:
Islam doesn't = hate, terrorism, killing or violence.
Islam = love, tolerance, understanding, kindness and caring for other people.

FAQ:

1.Why are their people yelling death to America or suicide bombers?

These people are misguided. Nowhere in the Quran does it tell us Muslims to strap on a bomb and kill innocent people. In fact the Quran condemns killing other people and suicide. Those people are going to hell.

2. Why do Muslims kill?
Hmm, why do humans in general kill? Simply, because they are missing a couple of screws. Seriously, I don't why people kill. Next question please.

3. Why are women being abused in Islam?
First of all, Islam grants many rights to women. What is happening is cultural reasons.

4. Why do Muslims hate?
Hmm, isn't hate present in every human being?

I think I'm going to start a talk show over this. Wish me luck!

Read the Quran as a whole and follow the examples that the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and all the prophets before him set for us. That included everyone from Adam to Jesus.
You can not take anything out of context and say look that's what it says in the Qur'an.
Take a sport interview for example. After the game the coach says, "The team could've done better but we really lacked on the defensive side in tonights game".
A news would report it as Coach said "We lack at defense". Does that mean they lack at it everynight or just that night?

There are types of people who refuse to change their views. They enjoy hating. May be if they see that Islam does not preach violence, they have ot stop hating us, then they will lose the fun. You cannot please the whole world. Just be kind to others and God will judge us all in the end. Leave them to think what they like, there is no point, even if you point out sites, they will say "it is fabrication of Mohammed....". Thank God there are open minded folk who do not hate us for our religion, so the world is not that bad.

Facts: Islam spread by threatening people into submission. Christianity spread while under intense persecution. If you're a muslim, it's probably because you were born and raised in it, but you can get out anytime you choose. The young prophet Jeremiah prophesied God's promise of preservation for Israel, declaring that if they would cease to be a nation, he would cease to be God. That is why Islam has sought to destroy the Jews from the beginning, because their spiritual leader Satan is addicted to the idea that he can put himself in God's place. There is a spiritual reason that Israel is the most hated nation in the world. Wake up.

Im Christian. You are not alone. I hate it when people make these misconceptions about others. You are not the only Muslim or Christian, who has thought about it. Many already hate the prejudice and discrimination, and bias here. They do the same to us Christians as well.

Here you go. This is a topic made by a fellow Muslim. He wants a FAQ done to take all these stereo types out. If you like, you can check out my post too.... :P ,lol

Islam is the religion of submission to God, with worshipping Him alone, by following what He sent down to His Messengers.

If people dont want to understand what Islam truly is, you cant make them understand.

People listen and are satisfied with the propoganda that suits their hearts and souls:

"And so We have appointed for every Prophet enemies - Shayatin (devils) among mankind and jinns, inspiring one another with adorned speech as a delusion (or by way of deception). If your Lord had so willed, they would not have done it, so leave them alone with their fabrications.

(And this is in order) that the hearts of those who disbelieve in the Hereafter may incline to such (deceit), and that they may remain pleased with it, and that they may commit what they are committing (all kinds of sins and evil deeds, etc.). [Quran 6:112-113]

Those who are open the truth and are sincere, God will open their hearts to Islam. There is enough material for people to read if they want to find the truth, but the reality is most people dont care to find it.

I think most people know that Islam does not promote these things any more than any other religion. It comes down to how certain people twist religion for their own ends. Most religions have done this at some point.
