The oldest written records of sacred lore, spiritual /religious knowledge are the Vedic Hymns. These are about 10,000 years old and first appeared in India. This is a vast body of written work consisting of 125,000 to150,000 volumes.Very little of it has been translated into English.
The Hindu, Dhama, and Buddist religions all have their roots in this sacred work. It also appears in the Bible. There may well have been earlier religions but there were no written records.
The Hindu faith is the oldest of these.

Some say that witchcraft is the oldest religion. Or that witchcraft is the revival of "old ways".
From an Archaeological point of view there is no evidence that witchcraft is the oldest religion nor evidence that it isn't, there is just supposition.
As of right now, Hinduism has the oldest recorded roots for religion.

Probably Shamanism as practiced by various tribes around the world. There is no written record of the very earliest religions.
It's worth mentioning that scientists have occasionally found hominid remains (ie: ancestors of humanity) evidently buried with tools and/or food remains. That certainly suggests some sort of afterlife belief--which are really the basis for most religions.

The oldest belief system is animism, the belief that everything in existence has a spirit or `essence`, this belief can be dated back more to than 30,000 years ago. As time progressed and man started to understand his surrounds better polytheism took hold, this is the belief in many deities controlling many aspects of our lives. The oldest traces of polytheism can be dated back to between 9,000 and 7,000 years ago as the beginnings of Hinduism (this is probably the answer you are after as it is still widely practised today). As for monotheism the oldest recorded, verifiable version is Zoroastrianism, which is the worship of a single god named Ahura-Mazda. This belief system began in what is now Syria about 2,800 to 3,000 years ago.

Since God created everything and He is first and He wanted a peculiar people to worship Him, then Judaism is God's first religion. However, God said that Abraham believed Him and God accounted it to Abraham for righteousness. Also some believe Shem the son of Noah was Melchizadek or King of Righteousness. Also some believe Jesus Christ was Melchizadek or King of Righteousness. Abraham gave a tenth of his spoil to Melchizadek the High Priest. The Bible's history goes back a long way.

Traditional Chinese religion worshiped heaven (Shang Ti), but it doesn't exist today unless you equate God with heaven. Every religion has their version of the begining of the world, so answers will vary. It's very interesting that most have things in common. See the link below for some more information on the topic about the similarities between various beliefs of origins in different religions.

There are still tribal people, in remote areas of the globe, that have had the same beliefs for centuries, way beyond what other religions practice today.
They are more in line with nature then any one God or Gods.

Check out Hebrews 11:4, and compare it with Hebrews 12:1.
(11:4 "By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.") Here we see Abel was offering a sacrifice to Jehovah God - this is the first recorded religious act in the Bible.
(12:1 "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.")
He is the first of a long line of Witnesses. Of whom or what are they Witnesses? The ASV Bible tells us that it is Jehovah. We read in that version at Isaiah 43:10--12 - "Ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am Jehovah; and beside me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, that I am God.
So, the first religion that exists today is Jehovah's Witnesses!
