What right do you people have to say that if i don't believe in god, that i am a sinner or i will go to hell or i will be punished.

I am a very soulful person, who chooses not to believe in a GOD.

You have not right to say things like that to people who choose not to believe in your god!!

And who are you all to say that this is what your god says and believes?

The bible was written by man, i believe as a control mechanism, this is a very good psycological way of controlling people to act the way that you want them to.

Just because i choose not to believe in a god, does not make me a bad person, i actually believe it makes me a better person, as i am not governed ny someone else rules.

I see all individuals as they should be, weather they be Gay or straight, black white or Green.

Religion strikes me as a narrow minded way of life!

No disrespect to you if you choose to believe.

I did say no disrespect intended, i am entitled to come into this forum and ask questions and express my beliefs, just as you all have given your opinion. It is not a personal attack on you or your religion, but merely a debate.

Religion works with rewards and with threats. If you are not baited by the rewards you will receive the threats. That's how it works, it's just psychological trickery. First the people trick themselves, and then they try to trick others.

I think there is a distinction between telling the 'truth' and causing someone else suffering. I think before 'truth' can even be expressed you should at least examine your intentions and make sure that what you are offering is being offered from a place of compassion and kindheartedness. I also think that none of us is so enlightened that we speak 'truth'. I only know that right action (good intention....genuinely good intention) causes no suffering. I'm sorry if you feel attacked and undermined. I think that's unfortunate but you also have to consider some of the sources.

What right do you have to say my God isn't real and the Bible is meant to dominate people? The same as I do to say that there is a God and the Bible is a guidebook for redemption.

The right we DO NOT posses is to try to inflict legislation against each other or physically hurt each other. We can make all the claims we want about sin, redemption, and the afterlife, but all those will be determined upon death and we will not be able to argue the truth then.

A soulful person is someone who is at peace within themselves. Others need to believe in a higher being to feel complete. No one has the right to say you are a sinner as you have no right to ridicule (which Im sure you dont) those who choose to believe. But can I add..... if you are upset or offended at being called a sinner just look abit deeper and it will not offend *smiles* to ya

First, people have a right to say what they believe, so long as it doesn't cause public alarm, or cause them injury. That's part of our civil rights.

Second, some people believe the Bible to be the Word of God; your dispute of that idea notwithstanding. It is their right to believe so.

You may rant and shout, but that will not change the beliefs of Christians who believe the Bible to be the word of their God to them.

Christians believe ALL to be sinners; not just those who don't accept the Bible. They believe themselves to be sinners as well, and that the remedy for that situation to be accepting Christ as their saviour.

I'm not a Christian, but I do believe that they have as much a right to their beliefs as I do mine. My only problem comes when Christians, or ANY religion tries to make its laws the laws of the nation.

The Bible was written by men under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The Bible is not a mechanism for man to control man. In fact under the New Covenant Christians walking in truth and grace that come through Jesus Christ are exhorted to walk under the control of the Holy Spirit to truly be sons of God. Christians are not governed by rules but allowed themselves to be led by the Spirit and where the Spirit is there is liberty. Jesus Christ never came to encourage religion but to call people to abide in Him ie walking in intimate relationship with Him. Christianity is not a religion but a relationship with God. Christian are not only to believe in Jesus but most importantly to be transformed to be like Jesus. Perhaps you know about religion (men obeying rules to reach God) not about the gospel of Christ (Jesus imparting His righteousness by grace to man to be with God without man doing anything but just believe). I suggest you seek to know Jesus Christ Himself and not religion.

Bless You!

I guess it does seem insane to believe that the sky will split open and roll back as a scroll - but I believe.

I guess it does seem insane to believe that Jesus' feet will hit the Mount of Olives and it will split into two pieces - but I believe.

I guess it does seem insane to believe that Jesus died, was buried and arose from the dead 3 days later - but I believe.

I guess it does seem insane to believe that God created everything in 6 days - but I believe.

I guess it does seem insane to believe in a rapture where thousands of people will be taken up and out of this world - but I believe.

I am the most optimistic and enthusiastic person you will ever meet. I believe every word written in the Holy Bible because I believe God's Word will not return to Him void. I believe I will be judged by every Word written in His Bible KJV.

May the Lord truly bless you.

Just thank the big bang that they can't burn you at a stake anymore or stone you to death for being a nonbeliever. They've come a long way, now it's just baby steps till they get caught up to the rest of the world.

Every right.
Its called "freedom of speech" ... and guess what...

You also have the right to tell them that their "God" is actually an ancient and rather unpleasant entity called Cthulhu who is one day going to rise from the ocean and consume them all. . . . which is a lot closer to any feasible truth than what they personally preach.

Then again I don't believe in "rights" persay.

Religious nuts can tell me I'm going to hell all they like, and I am perfectly justified in unleashing Umbrella-Fu on them until they take it back.

If you have a problem with someone, take it straight to them and don't just whinge publically about it.
