Self respect is living a life of integrity... doing what you believe is right... following rules, not hurting others. When people do something they believe is morally, legally or ethically wrong... they loose their own respect and esteem, as well as that of others.
Self-respect is what we do, not a feeling...
and yes... i have self-respect.

Living a life that you yourself find acceptable by whatever standard you use. Holding yourself equal to what you expect from others. Ex: NOT thinking "I am too good for..." or that "I'm not good enough for..."
Self-respect has nothing to do with how others see/judge you.
I'd say 90% of the time I possess self-respect.

It is realizing our own self worth. The contribution that I make to life is not contingent on how others see me.
I believe it is very much a feeling. We try to do the right thing and live our lives honorably, but that does not necessarily mean that we like ourselves. Does it?
You have to like yourself, first and foremost.

It's pretty simple in my personal opinion,
Hypothetically, If you met yourself, would you respect that person?

Liking and excepting yourself for who you are and not trying to be someone you are not just to please the people you are with. This is something I have never done, you either like me as I am or leave me along.

Same thing as personal integrity. What is true is what is true for you based on your own observation and experience.

It's something you achieve.
If you don't know what it is, it's likely you've done nothing to earn it.
