Betty Boop asked a question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AvFD8wnirL5AdgwuIRE_Y7vd7BR.?qid=20070309105311AAT0qlA where it seemed as if she met some people who actually believed this Onion article http://www.theonion.com/content/node/39512 "Evangelical Scientists Refute Gravity With New 'Intelligent Falling' Theory".

I remember waiting for a professor who had http://www.theonion.com/content/node/27720 "Bush Sends Troops to West Nile" on his door, and a girl read it and got really angry about Bush's warmongering tendencies.

So, have you ever observed anyone believing an Onion article?

There was a case where The Onion printed a story saying that Congress was threatening to leave Washington unless it got a new building with a retractable roof (spoofing baseball team owners).

This story was reprinted as though it were real in a state-run Chinese newspaper.
