Most of our founders were not Christians, although many did believe in a creator. They stressed religious tolerance above all else. Why in the world would Deists trying to escape a theocratical country form a theocratic nation?

You think because the word God is used that makes it Christian. Study your history folks. It's not true.

But why isn't religous tolerance good enough? Why do you have to convince yourself that the founders worshiped your God and your Jesus. Haven't you ever wondered why Jesus was never mentioned by the Founders?

Do you realize Barack Obama was sworn in on Thomas Jefferson's Quran? He was an educated man, learned in all religions, and did not favor one over the other.

Why isn't it good enough that the founding fathers wanted you to have the freedom to be Christians? And for me to be a pagan! Why? Seriously?

What is the purpose of life?

Have you ever thought there must be something more to life than just living day to day?
There is—much more. Your life has a divine purpose.

God, your Heavenly Father, has prepared a marvelous plan for your happiness. When you realize that God has a plan for you, it is easier to understand why you are on this earth. God wants all of His children to progress and become more like Him. This time on Earth provides opportunities for you to grow and progress. Coming here allows you to:

Receive a physical body.
Exercise agency and learn to choose between good and evil.
Learn and gain experience that will help you become more like your Heavenly Father.
By following our Heavenly Father’s plan, you—like all of His children—can someday return to live with Him and with your loved ones. You can have greater peace in this life and eternal joy in the life to come.

Yesterday I met a group of people who didnt bealive in Gravity. They insisted God holds every thing down that Gravity was just a theory. At first I thought they were pulling my leg. Then I realised they were serious. Some even begin to get upset when I insisted that gravity was real. My God do we still have people insisting on a flat Earth with four corners?

See, they must have has a mistranslation somewhere. Because when Muslims say they are "peaceful", they obvioulsy mean "KILL ALL INFIDELS!!!''

Should we teach them some English, and tell them they are not truly peaceful, but they are actually murderers?

I joined this yahoo question thing about a week and a half ago and just came onto the religious section this week. My question is this.....Why and how in the hell are the predominant "christians" on here so judgmental towards other beliefs, religions, etc??????

Does not the Bible CONTINUOUSLY tell believers NOT to cast the first stone??? I figure if I start my own church of Judgmental Christians I should be extrememly wealthy in maybe 3 days.

BTW, I have a degree in theology, have done missionary work in several 3rd world countries so PLEASE ,"Christian," do not approach as if I know nothing about the scriptures. And this isnt to ALL Christians. Just those hypocritical ones that think their judgment of other people outweighs the savior himself.

What if he wants his proper name capitalized but not his title? What if the Flying Spaghetti Monster doesn't want a capital G? What if he wants the "o" capitalized instead? Would it be acceptable to call him "gOd" if that's what my gOd wants?
