My 12 year old told me she didn't like the Eagles.

I'll start feeding her again soon.

I truly believe that the majority of parents love their children unconditionally and raise them to the best of their abilities. For myself, yes I have never threatened to disown any of my four children for any reason including the different beliefs they have. My kids are 33yrs to 42 yrs.

Parents...Do you love your children unconditionally?

yes and i always will.. no matter what she does.

Would you threaten to "disown" them if they had different beliefs than you?

no not at all.. in fact i would love it more than dislike it. it would show me her what an individual she is... and that she can think for her self....

i would actually like her to question the authority, lol.

yes, I love my daughters unconditionally. I would never disown them for any reason, much less for having different beliefs than mine.

There is no stronger love on the planet. I would never disown one of my children. I don't care how wrong or illegal their actions. I'd go so far as to hide them from the law. Maybe that isn't a very popular attitude, but It's the truth. Like it or not.

I would never threaten to disown my children regardless of what they did.

If they want to believe differently then I do, well then that means that they were raised right (in my opinion) and are able to think for themselves.

I have three kids, one is atheist, one is agnostic, and one is christian. I love all three, and I love them unconditionally. I'd never disown them, unless they became serial killers or child molesters.

Yes of course I love them unconditionally.. and you bet I'd disown them if they didn't believe in me... I'd torture them eternally for that one!

Er - well, um... *cough*...ahem - if I can get past the distraction of your avatar *whew!* --- yes, I grant my children the right to disagree with me. In fact, if they don't on at least some topics, I gotta wonder what's wrong!
Now, about that avatar: do you really look like that, and are you spoken for?
