Is claiming that we know what God really said who he is or where we really came from kind of arrogant on our part and disrespectful to our creator?, you know "Man creating God in his own image....??"

The bible says to worship nothing but the creator (page one i beleive), but the bible or any religious text is not our creator... just a sets of doctrines

Why would our creator give us a road map when he could program us with GPS?

I guess what im really getting at is ... If we were created and not some random act, do you think our creator would have given us a more sophisticated method of guidance than a book??

If your religion tells you it's strictly forbidden to ever show the image of your Prophet, and somebody draws a cartoon...The way I see it, there is simply no way you can even know it's your Prophet in that cartoon. That's impossible according to your religion. Because it's strictly forbidden to show the image of your Prophet you don't know what your Prophet looks like, remember?

I don't mean offense in this, I simply would like to know if it's forbidden to show Muhammed's image, how anybody can know what He looks like.

'www.scripturecatholic.com' calls Zionism "an anti-Catholic movement which seeks to remove the Church as the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies".

However, 'www.catholic.com' is much more accepting of Zionism.

So, what is the Vatican's offical position (if there is one) regarding Zionism?

I am just curious as to some reasons religious people feel they have the right to sit on their pedistal and judge others. like gay people, people who'er not religious, or are simply a different religion, in some cases people of different races,.
in the case of gay people, i've been told by most religious people that being homosexual is "wrong" and against god. but god also says judge not least ye be judged, and love thy neighbor, where did the line get drawn? my christan brother will forgive his crack head friend who abuses her children because he "was taught to forgive" but he won't even invite his gay sister to his wedding because its "wrong".
So i guess my question is, if god will judge us in the end, why then do we feel the need to judge and hurt each other?

When all research indicates both these substances have less long term and short -term side-effects then Alcohol and Tobacco how can we justify their illegal status Alcohol and tobacco are used as every day recreational drugs yet users and manufacturers of THC or MDMA products are persecuted

Does the religious views of a nations leaders influence this decison rather then actual hard evidence?

It seems like most people only "find Jesus" when their lives are bad, or they are sad, or they are going through personal difficulties. I was wondering if anyone here was content with their life, and then they found Jesus.

My neighbor cursed me out about a year ago. Tonight his wife came over and apologized. She asked for forgiveness and I told her that I forgave her husband when the incident happened, but that I did't feel that there could be any reconciliation in the relationship unless he apologized. If the man was lying on the street, I would help him with no second thought about it, but as far as having a relationship with him - I don't believe that's possible.

Am I wrong here? I very much want to do what G-d would have me do. I want more than anything to be obedient to Him. What does His Torah say about this kind of thing?

I find that I have these same feelings in all of my relationships. I can forgive people, but I can't just carry on as if nothing happened. I believe that would be dishonest and dysfunctional and likely to happen again.

If you don't follow Torah, please don't answer this question. No offense. Thank you!

When all the people who do hate it CLEARLY don't know anything about it. They seem to think that stuff like rape is allowed in Islam, and that muslims are told to kill innocent people, that women are allowed to be beat senseless when none of this is true.

how do you explain that muslims will judge christians according to the qur'an, and that their charity burned away, if zakat is 2.5 percent? Zakat is not LESS than what christians give, dear people, you must be better than christians if you wanna judge them and NO WAY that zakat is 2.5 percent.

... how do you explain your 100% certainty in the non-existence of every other deity but your own personal one?

I never hear an atheist say "I am 100% sure there is no God"; rather, "There is no evidence whatsoever for God, so I have no grounds for believing in one, but if he shows up in Montana on Tuesday evening, call me a believer".

There are thousands of gods, but to favour your favourite you deny the existence of all the others with less self-questioning than the atheist. You accuse atheists of needing to know *everything* to be 100% certain (which is true) but presume that privilege yourselves.

Are theists really the world's most over-confident atheists?

I I wish to share my testimony about how Jesus changed my life. Well, it was an amazing transformation from multifaceted ruin – financially( bankruptcy), health( I was dying of two life threatening diseases/disorders) love-lessness ( I was rejected by the lady I loved and proposed to and which led to alcoholism) and family wise , socially and in other such incredible ways that I am not able to express in few words here. Today I am well and have two children. I wish to share my incredible testimony with people around the world( as Jesus would want me to do) to tell people to go to Jesus for salvation. Especially in non Christian countries like India, Japan , China, and the muslims. I was myself a non- Christian till this happened to me.
Pls tell me which Missionary church( or other organizations) ENCOURAGES AND WELCOMES people like me to share their testimony around the world. Guys I need a forum and organisation to help me with this.
