I don't think-or have any reason to think- that Taoism is a religion. Is it like Buddism? or similar to Confucianism?

Many people come here and slander people with different beleifs than them. We all have a right to believe what we want to it should not matter to anyone else what you believe.

for example there are alot of religions in the world and alot of people believe in each one and there are also people who do not believe religion to be true and believe science can give us all the answers. Some of these people think that everyone should believe what they believe and they all say they have evidence to back it up and then they try to push their beliefs onto someone else. Why do people do this to each other? As an example do you think god if he really exists would be happy about christians puting other people down just because they dont beleive the same religion?

My belief is that although i dont believe in religion it has helped us develope and keep some order in society and i dont try to push this onto other people. I only hope people will accept that i have my own veiws as i do theirs.

Moses spent 40 days on a mountain, and came back with 10 rules. My guess is, if God were a woman Moses would have been back within 2 days, with at least 640 rules.

What say you?

(and please feel sorry for me tomorrow morning, when my girlfriend reads this)

Yet you'll believe the same story if it happens to be found in YOUR holy scriptures! Where's the difference? To me, a bogus story is a bogus story, no matter where it happens to be written down... Don't you realise that if you had chanced to be born into a Hindu family, you would now believe THEIR holy texts rather than your own? You just happened to be born into a "Christian" nation, so you were brought up believing the same stuff as your parents, who by chance happened to be Christians... You could easily have been born somewhere else in the world and grown up believing in Hinduism, Buddism, etc. and never known you were believing the 'wrong' things! So what makes you think you're so special that you just happened to be born into the 'right' faith in order to be 'saved'...???

I don't believe they should, it states in the BIBLE they are inferior. GOD created them as tools for men to further our species.

If I am going to hell anyway, what is my motivation not to be as bad as I want to be, do whatever I want, be bisexual, have 15 abortions, sleep with everyone I can, lie, etc, etc.?
.... And actually, the same with fundamentalists, if they are going to heaven anyway, what is their motivation to do good things if there is no reward by God, and not to do bad things, which there will be no punishment?

I'm confused -"Dishonouring Christian religious symbols is an old religious duty in Judaism. Spitting on the cross, especially on the Crucifix, and spitting when a Jew passes a church, have been obligatory from around AD 200 for pious Jews. In the past, when the danger of anti-Semitic hostility was a real one, the pious Jews were commanded by their rabbis either to spit so that the reason for doing so would be unknown, or to spit onto their chests, not actually on the cross or openly before the church. The increasing strength of the Jewish state has caused these customs to become more open again : The spitting on the cross for converts from Christianity to Judaism, organized in Kibbutz Sa'ad and financed by the Israeli government is a an act of traditional Jewish piety"

We read about a guy that came down from a mountain with the finally decided 10 commandments, which worked well for that day and age, when rules were more strict, and laws were followed better, and we believe it because it's written in the Bible. If I was to come down from a mountain with a new set of commandments for this day and age, and told all of you that God has spoken to me and says that he has new rules for us to follow, would you believe me too? Or how quickly would I be thrown into an insane asylum? Why would or would you not believe me, and why then, do you believe something that's simply written down in a book? I was just blessed with an over curious mind, I like theory and logics, so don't think I don't believe in God, I hate Satan and am not scared of him, but I like to ask questions to.

and why did Jesus supposedly stop talking to the deciples and only to Paul later?

sounds VERY suspicious to have a murderer and worker for the High Priest jump ship, form a new religion, then claim to be a Roman and offend both Jews and his own followers in the end

found with Felix and lots of money in the end, only 2 ways to become a Roman Citizen back then, bribe or outright buy it, or free yourself in wars and be a Free Man

paul claims jewish roots but yet born in Tarsus, claims being in a 30 year Rabinical School under Gamaliel yet slanders Pharisees

the contradictions of Jesus teachings and Pauls are myriad

It seems like it's in fashion to bash Christians without any sense of manners or consideration. I've seen religious people openly laughed at a mocked at parties (the one couple actually had to leave they were so bullied and embarrassed). Why is this??? Does it have something to do with some people seeing them as a wet blanket and a downer to be around??

So why do they reject what Jews say about Jesus?

If these Christian Zionists care for Christ, not only for Zion, let them learn what Jews and Moslems feel towards Christ. Rami Rozen expressed the Jewish tradition in a long feature in a major Israeli newspaper Haaretz[i]: “Jews feel towards Jesus today what they felt in 4 c or in the Middle Ages… It is not fear, it is hatred and despise”. “For centuries, Jews concealed from Christians their hate to Jesus, and this tradition continues even now”. “He is revolting and repulsive”, said an important modern religious Jewish thinker. Rozen writes that this “repulsion passed from the observant Jews to the general Israeli public”.
