Perhaps if you befriend this person you could lead them to the Lord. If Christians weren't friends with non-christians, how would they get the good news?

My friend I wish you had been a little more specific with your question and you might not have run into so much venom.

Here is a good rule of thumb. We are to go throughout the world preaching the gospel "good news" and it is not necessary to tell those that already have heard it. So, you must learn to know the ones you wish to reach and if you cannot love them and become their friends you are of no use.

Now, having said this, I shall make this allowance. If you have tried and tried to be some ones friend and share the news and they mock and ridicule you and throw it in your face etc... there comes a time when you do not cast your pearls before swine. But, do this at the very last resort and after great care and prayer has gone into it.

Yes, it is wrong. Don't judge.

God say, Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will to you.... Matthew 7:1-6(NIV)

God will place you in peoples lives, so you can tell them about him. God witness to peoples that was not save. Our purpose on this earth is to be a servant of God. So, that means to be a witness, tell other about him that don't know him.

Friend - a person with whom one has a close pleasant relationship.

Christian - the word which signifies a follower of Christ.

If this person don't love God, just pray for there Salvation. You can be a distance friend (mail out Encouragement card, Birthday card, Holiday cards and Phone call once a week).

Just remember not to put anything or anybody before God.

GOD BLESS!!!

Contrary to what people are telling you, it is ok NOT to be friends with someone who does not share the same values in life that you do. For instance, if I was an atheist, I would probably not seek out friends who were devout Christians. That does NOT mean I would be mean or ignore them, or rude, because I believe it is best to always be nice to everyone, treat others with respect as you hope they do you.

If being a Christian is the biggest part of what makes you "tick" as a person, then you should probably seek our similar friends, especially if you are trying to foster deep friendships.

However, having casual friends who do not share your beliefs is good, it opens you to a world of other ideas and beliefs.

as a Christian, I can understand where you are coming from, but just because they are not Christian doesn't mean that you shouldnt be friends with them. I have a Muslim friend, a Mormon friend etc. They shouldn't be your closest friend and you should have other Christian friends with whom you can fellowship, but take it as an evangelistic opportunity(assuming that you are Christian). Or if you're not sure, pray about it and the Lord will make it clear to you.

No, it is not wrong.

1 ¶ Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 ¶ The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Don't let these guys mislead you.

It's wrong NOT to be friends with a Christian, yes. We should all be friends with people of different faiths so we can finally start growing and learning and being more tolerant of other people. You'll be amazed how many of them (all faiths) are good!

NO!! Cause the bible says that we need to love our enemy's and also God said "If you do this to the least of people then you do it to Me". But I would try not to be BEST friends with this person because the bible says that "As iron sharpens iron so does one mans countenance sharpens another" which means that if this person is not a Christian then they are NOT going to grow you in your faith. But it is good cause you might be able to bring them to God, and save them from HELL. So I hope that hat helped you...your friend in the Lord!!!

Is it "wrong" persay? I guess not; we are each free to choose who we count as friends. But I think that deciding you cannot (or will not) be friends with someone simply because they are not Christian is a piss-poor reason.

I believe it is wrong to not be friends with anyone because of religious differences. How is it that one who considers themselves a Christian can not speak to someone because of their personal beliefs.
Would you want someone to treat you that way? Treat everyone just as you would want to be treated yourself.
Just my opinion though. Take care.
