I used to be Wiccan, but have fallen off the path for the past few years. I'm looking to return to it. Does anyone have advice for finding pagan community, both on-line and in real life? I realize there are different types of Pagans. The reason I've been vague instead of asking specifically for "Wiccan", for example, is that I'm interested in learning more about different types of Pagan faiths. Any advice would be appreciated. Also, any book reccomendations would be great too. Thanks

The cross Contantine used is nothing like the cross the romans used to crusify people. Also it's nothing like the cross the catholic/christian church uses. Constantines cross was like a x with a p through it. What kind of cross is this? Why is it so different? This is the cross ainted on his soldiers sheilds.

Hell is hot, dark and excruciatingly hot. There is no escape once you are there. Your life will belong to the demons that are assigned to torture you and you will be naked.

"The fire is not quenched Mark 9:48".

For the people that are in hell, "the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever and they have no rest day or night Revelation 14:11".

So you see that there is no sleep, no rest, no water, no breaks, no will of your own, no pleasure, just pain and suffering. You have to endure this all.

In addition to billions of people screaming, moaning and hollering, their is and will be "weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 13:50)".

Does this sound like a place that you want to be?

What about heaven? Heaven is purely tranquil and peaceful. In heaven, you have eternal peace, joy and love forever. How then can you get there?

In John 14:6, Jesus Christ tells us that He is "the way, the truth and the life and that no man cometh unto the Father, but by Him.

Where will you go?

I am a christian, and it saddens me to see what christianity has become to some people. it seems to me that the biggest detriment to the church is that so many of us feel like we are obligated, or even authorized, to pass judgement upon others. can anybody shed some light on this phenomena for me? its really eating at me.

Exodus 3:15 God also said to Moses, "Say this to the Israelites: Yhwh, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever; this is how I am to be remembered in every generation.

Now, what do the muslims say again? The name is allah ??? And allah is god? Hmmm...According to isaiah 14, allah means heylel which has been translated into lucifer by Jerome. Do your homework.

ask a specific question about something you want to poll on this on non-scientific non-random panel to estimate the attitude toward a certain view and you get a tract of proslytizing bovine scat.

To disprove evolution in my mind all i ask is if someone could just provide me with 1 empirical evidence for the existence of God, or better yet, lets make it easier, the existence of some kind of supernatural being..that will include Santa Claus, Dracula (the one that turns into a bat), Werewolf, etc.

Without much success I have even chanting aloud for Satan to appear so he can have my soul so that i can finally have 1 piece of proof of supernaturality but sadly i guess he was having an off day.

People where is the proof. This is why science will always win in turns of rationality.

Evolution is a fact and although religious folk like to say it is just a theory, just be careful to realize that "Theory" in science is NOT a guess, but a realm of FACT and can be proven. Please see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution (scroll down to "Distinctions between theory and fact") for more on this.

I am an open minded individual and evidence means everything.

so many people are saying that God doesn't exist. that there's no proof. and to that I say, well how do you explain yourself? how do you explain me writing this? yeah you can say that it's because of science. but what or who tells DNA to make a baby, who tells cells to duplicate? scientology: they say that it was founded by a space alien. there's no proof of that alien either.

Ethics were written about extensively by all the great philosophers,

Even the bible couldn't touch on abortion, yet Aristotle could weigh out the morality of it, whats up with that?

I'm an eclectic pagan, I practice and study Buddhism, Taoism, Hermetic Magick and have studied and practiced "green" wicca. I'm always curious which avenue of pagan theosophy is attractive to an individual and how he/she came to choose that path.

I'm interested in serious answers, but what the hey, no matter what you say earns 2 points, right?

I live a simple life, i am good to others, and approach life with a wide-eyed, earnest attitude. when i was a christian, because i was trying to follow all of the bible's silly arbitrary commands, i hated myself and my life. since i stopped believing, i have never been at so much peace with myself and others.
I try to be the best person i can be (in accomplishment and in virtue) and can honestly say that if i died tomorow, then i could live without having eternal reward for being a great person. the small sliver of life i have got to live so far has been reward enough.
how can anyone say i am "lost" when i am much more at peace than most christians who pretend to have an amazing, enthusiastic life because of jesus's touch?
