The personal name of the only true God is Jehovah. His own self-designation."Jehovah" is translated from the Hebrew Tetragrammation, which means "He Causes to Become".These four Hebrew letters are represented in many languages by the letters JHVH or YHWH.
No human today can be certain how it was originally pronounced in Hebrew. Many scholars favour the spelling "Yahweh," but it is uncertain and there is not agreement among them.On the other hand,"Jehovah" is the form of the name that is most readily recognised, because it has been used in English for centuries and preserves, equally with other forms, the four consonants of the Hebrew Tetragrammaton.
The Hebrew word translated "Lucifer" means "shining one".The Septuagint uses the Greek word that means "bringer of dawn".Hence, some translations render the original Hebrew "morning star" or "Daystar".But Jerome's Latin Vulgate uses "Lucifer" (light bearer),and this accounts for the appearance of that term in various versions of the Bible.
The expression "shining one" or "Lucifer",is found in what Isaiah prophetically commanded the Israelites to pronounce as a "proverbial saying against the King of Babylon".Thus,it was part of a saying primarily directed at the Babylonian dynasty.

Allah is god, God is a "title," nothing more or less.

Jehovah is his NAME. It even says so in the Bible. UNLESS YOU DENY YOUR OWN GOD'S WORD, AT:

Exodus 6:3
Psalms 83:18
Isaiah 12:2
Isaiah 26:4

Exodus 6:3 - And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

Psalms 83:18 - That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

Isaiah 12:2 - Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

Isaiah 26:4 - Trust ye in the Lord for ever; for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength;

NOTE: I did not capitalize Jehovah's name, it was that way in the King James Bible, I merely typed it the way it was in the Bible.

ALSO: Such words as Hallelujah that end with "jah" in the Bible mean something about Jehovah. Hallelujah itself means, "Praise Jehovah." The word Elijah means "Jehovah is god."

Sounds like Joan Osbourne's song.

God's name is in the bible and it was always but was removed by some translators. God's name is the tetragrammaton, the 4 Hebrew letter word 'to be.' which has a relevance to God's quality that 'he can be what he chooses to become."

Yhwh is the transliterated form and no one now knows its pronunciation since it has been lost because of the people's fear to use it in vain. But the early Jews say the name in greetings.

Should we use the name? Micah 4:5 shows that they who trust in the God of the Bible, will keep his name: "For all the peoples walk every one in the name of his god; and we will walk in the name of Jehovah our God for ever and ever." (American Standard Version)

On the other hand, they who opposes the God of the Bible, are characterized by avoiding using his name. We clearly see the contrast in Jesus' conversation with Satan, as it is described in Matthew 4:1-11. Satan consistently used the title "God", and quoted a scripture that didn't have the name of God. Jesus answered every time by citing scriptures that had the name of God, worse change it.

The way we say it in English is Jehovah. Psalms83:18. The name God is nothing more than a title, just as Mother, sister, or brother. Why people refuse to use his name is beyond me. There are many gods in the bible and they ALL have names so why wouldn't the true and only have one. Jesus said that he had made His Father's name known. When I pray I always pray to Jehovah, so there is no confusion to just what god I am praying to. Alot of people say that Jehovah is not the right pronouncement of his name, when in truth, neither is Jesus', but they don't seem to have a problem with that. Jesus' name was pronounced Yeshua..

It's Yahweh.

Interesting Fact: In the book Leviticus, every 70th letter spells Yahweh 7000 times. This book was mostly God speaking.

Yes you are right HIs Name is YHWH and several others besides which translated means either "I AM that I AM" or "I Will Be what I will Be" in other words he is the only "I AM" the only one who has true personhood, true identity, true life, true power, true self perpetuation. No one else has these for all of them are derived and dependent upon some one other than self. However God Almighty is not dependent upon us for identity He has existed for eternity and He exists by His own will to exist. His power none can thwart, His knowledged none can supersed, His understanding no one can fathom, His mercy His compassion His Love is who He is as God! There is no God like Him!

The correct english pronunciation is Jehovah and has been used
for many century's.some like to use Yahweh. At any rate it is
proper to use the Devine name in worship. And is actually a
requirement.(Ezek.38:17,23)"This is what the sovereign Lord
Jehovah has said,.....And I shall certainly magnify myself and
sanctify myself and make myself known before the eyes of
many nations;and they will have to know that I am Jehovah.")
(Isa.12:4.)"Give thanks to Jehovah, you people! Call upon his
NAME.Make known among the peoples his dealings.Make
mention that his name is put on high."(John.17:26)[" Jesus
prayed to his father"] I have made your name known to them
[his followers] and will make it known,........also see Ex.6:3,
Ps.83:18,and their are many others.

So what precisely are you asking? Or are you just provoking thought? The name of God, I suppose, depends on what religion you ascribe to...as you have already pointed out. In the realm of totally useless knowledge, according to Kabbala, YHWH is pronounced yode-heh-vav-heh, as opposed to today's version, Yahweh.

I have nothing else to say on this, being not so religious anyhow.
