To disprove evolution in my mind all i ask is if someone could just provide me with 1 empirical evidence for the existence of God, or better yet, lets make it easier, the existence of some kind of supernatural being..that will include Santa Claus, Dracula (the one that turns into a bat), Werewolf, etc.

Without much success I have even chanting aloud for Satan to appear so he can have my soul so that i can finally have 1 piece of proof of supernaturality but sadly i guess he was having an off day.

People where is the proof. This is why science will always win in turns of rationality.

Evolution is a fact and although religious folk like to say it is just a theory, just be careful to realize that "Theory" in science is NOT a guess, but a realm of FACT and can be proven. Please see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution (scroll down to "Distinctions between theory and fact") for more on this.

I am an open minded individual and evidence means everything.

In regards to your comment about "Air"...I am not trying to disprove the existence of Air .. i am trying to prove the existence of God...Air has proof..What about God?

Response to "Gary":

Gary, dude, where is the proof of "God"..By trying to disprove evolutin it does not prove a God exists...And your facts to disprove evolution is completely false...Please check Wikipedia for the facts please..And please read my question entirely because i answer things like "Theory" in it...Since Theory in science is related to fact

How is Evolution a Religion? I dont understand. Evolution is based on provable facts backed by a field known as Science...Science is not a religion...it does not require FAITH...Anyone can test what science claims...

Response to "Cool Maybe I will try":

Your 3 questions are very simple to answer. However, read Wikipedia's info on Evolution and you will find your answers there because they are simple to answer. It sounds to me you definitely dont understand how Evolution works. Ironically it is a simple concept to understand. Make sure you grasp the idea of natural selection when reading wikipedia. If you want me to respond please email me and i will be happy to give my detailed reply..

Evolution is a theory.

But what is a theory? It is a conclusion reached by examining a series of facts. It may not be a true or complete conclusion, but it's the best we have at the time.
Theories are always evolving as more facts are added or subtracted.
Theories are not carved in stone. They develop over time until it is ALMOST undoubtedly true.

And that, my friend, is the true strength of atheism. We are more than willing to be wrong. Show us ONE hard fact and we will convert
Testimony is not evidence.
Feelings are not evidence
a badly written collection of stories is not evidence.

And for those closed minded dolts who insist that nothing evolves; please don't bother getting a flu shot, as the one you received as a child should still work.
Better yet, don't bother with modern medicine, just have your faith leader pray away all disease, as we all know diseases are just demons.

Empirical evidence. You look around you everyday and do not see empirical evidence? Stasis is not available for this. I know you put this on here as a dare or just to elicit responses. Where do you get the idea that evolution is a fact and not a theory. Interesting that you quote an obscure little passage to prove, at least to yourself that satement.

Open minded? i have never heard anyone so silly in my time on here. I wonder why someone would work so hard to "disprove" the existence of God. Why does it matter to you? Since you are so fond of dictionaries look up disprove. Talk about surprises. Look under logic and tolerance too. Lots of revelations.

Humans did not come from monkeys! For one thing, there still monkeys, evolution that went against science itself?! Evolution is barely even a theory.

Question for evolutionists: If we came from monkeys then why is it -
one- Why theres monkey's still alive that haven't evolved?
two - explain why this evolution took place in such a small time frame compared to that of the theory of " the great soup" that took millions?
three- Why has the process suddenly just stop to what humans look like while all other evolutions just keep going?

Yes you are very open minded by the sounds of your rant.

Evolution huh? Is that where the fish become lizards? Then the lizards become birds?

I thought that in evolution the strongest survived.

During the above evolutions there would have to be periods of time where the animal could neither swim nor walk (and begin to fly) on the land very well. It would be the weaker of all the animals around it and therefore would not evolve (ie: be eaten).

Perhaps you could learn to fly and evolve into a bird like me....no matter how many times you or your children jump off a building you will not grow wings.

I remember this guy who said while in college he would ask his professors questions about evolution and he always got their tongue, he stopped them dead in their track, they were supposed to be expretise on evolution and even they couldn't answer his questions, lol

But once again, how much to trust evolution? For me it's not 100 percent

Oh and this one I just love to mention: scientists can easily hide evidence that goes against what they are trying to prove and many of them are scared to study things outside of the "scientific comfort zone"; science can also be baised

You'll get a few responses - from people who were deliberately taught evolution completely wrong to make that version of it possible to disprove. In truth, of course, it is impossible, and anybody who could actually manage it would become a leading scientist overnight.

And for anybody not educated enough to understand this: let's quote from talkorigins.org:

When non-biologists talk about biological evolution they often confuse two different aspects of the definition. On the one hand there is the question of whether or not modern organisms have evolved from older ancestral organisms or whether modern species are continuing to change over time. On the other hand there are questions about the mechanism of the observed changes... how did evolution occur? Biologists consider the existence of biological evolution to be a fact. It can be demonstrated today and the historical evidence for its occurrence in the past is overwhelming. However, biologists readily admit that they are less certain of the exact mechanism of evolution; there are several theories of the mechanism of evolution. Stephen J. Gould has put this as well as anyone else:

In the American vernacular, "theory" often means "imperfect fact"--part of a hierarchy of confidence running downhill from fact to theory to hypothesis to guess. Thus the power of the creationist argument: evolution is "only" a theory and intense debate now rages about many aspects of the theory. If evolution is worse than a fact, and scientists can't even make up their minds about the theory, then what confidence can we have in it? Indeed, President Reagan echoed this argument before an evangelical group in Dallas when he said (in what I devoutly hope was campaign rhetoric): "Well, it is a theory. It is a scientific theory only, and it has in recent years been challenged in the world of science--that is, not believed in the scientific community to be as infallible as it once was."

Well evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape-like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered.

Moreover, "fact" doesn't mean "absolute certainty"; there ain't no such animal in an exciting and complex world. The final proofs of logic and mathematics flow deductively from stated premises and achieve certainty only because they are not about the empirical world. Evolutionists make no claim for perpetual truth, though creationists often do (and then attack us falsely for a style of argument that they themselves favor). In science "fact" can only mean "confirmed to such a degree that it would be perverse to withhold provisional consent." I suppose that apples might start to rise tomorrow, but the possibility does not merit equal time in physics classrooms.

Evolutionists have been very clear about this distinction of fact and theory from the very beginning, if only because we have always acknowledged how far we are from completely understanding the mechanisms (theory) by which evolution (fact) occurred. Darwin continually emphasized the difference between his two great and separate accomplishments: establishing the fact of evolution, and proposing a theory--natural selection--to explain the mechanism of evolution.

- Stephen J. Gould, " Evolution as Fact and Theory"; Discover, May 1981

Gould is stating the prevailing view of the scientific community. In other words, the experts on evolution consider it to be a fact. This is not an idea that originated with Gould as the following quotations indicate:

Let me try to make crystal clear what is established beyond reasonable doubt, and what needs further study, about evolution. Evolution as a process that has always gone on in the history of the earth can be doubted only by those who are ignorant of the evidence or are resistant to evidence, owing to emotional blocks or to plain bigotry. By contrast, the mechanisms that bring evolution about certainly need study and clarification. There are no alternatives to evolution as history that can withstand critical examination. Yet we are constantly learning new and important facts about evolutionary mechanisms.

- Theodosius Dobzhansky "Nothing in Biology Makes Sense Except in the Light of Evolution", American Biology Teacher vol. 35 (March 1973) reprinted in Evolution versus Creationism, J. Peter Zetterberg ed., ORYX Press, Phoenix AZ 1983

Plenty of evidence AGAINST EVOLUTION:.
First, the 'Cambrian explosion'; the millions of fossil types in Cambrian rock (oldest fossil bearing rocks) appear suddenly and fully formed and without any previous forms...IOW, there are no transitional forms.

Most well educated evolutionists when forced to ...will admit it, but very unwillingly, and even then they always want to seem to make new excuses for it. Usually they just don't say anything about it and hope noone finds out.

The thing to remember is that evolution is still just a theory - a hypothesis, a speculation, an umproven assumption.
"From the beginning of the Creation God made them male and female..."-- Jesus (Mk. 10:6)

Scripture says God SPOKE all things into existence with His Word:
" By the Word of the Lord were the heavens created, and all the host by the breath of His mouth. For HE SPAKE AND IT WAS DONE; HE COMMANDED AND IT STOOD FAST". (psalm 33:9)

Evolutionists invent all sorts of things as they go along.....everytime something doesn't work out right they invent another theory to keep it current with the latest discovers which keep invalidating their last assumption....it is really laughable
