Ok, I have a few questions regarding religion and God.

The first is what is god. And how is it a man.
Do you honestly believe that women were formed from a RIB? That the evolution theory is defunct, despite all the evidence supporting it and lack thereof on your behalf.
also, how can you believe in the afterlife? Is it more of a comfort thing, thinking that when you die, there is something and not just uncomprehending nothingness?

Not being a religious person, I cannot get into this mindset.
I know that a person is just the neurons firing in the brain in a certain pattern, not a soul.
And when you die, there will be nothing, not black like sleep; because you wouldn’t be able to comprehend it, because you will be nothing, cease to exist

In addition, since many religious people on this site tend to take anything said against their religion as a personal insult anyway, consider this a challenge against your religion, a friendly one, but a challenge none the less.

I love to write and I have my first book well into production and another great idea brewing (basically my own version of the End Times, sorta mimicing the Left Behind Series except my own spin) But there are three other books I have floating in my mind, which peaks your interest? For Atheists, which idea do you dislike the most, since you probably wouldn't like Christian 'propaganda'.

1) "Separation of Church and State: Violated" - Investigate Separation of Church and State decisions in the last ten years or so, and see if the courts or school boards violated religious liberty or if they made a just decision.

2) "Age of Reason: Refuted" - plain and simple, refute the great book Age of Reason by Thomas Paine.

3) "When Jesus was 'Nice'" - Look at all the times Jesus did "nice" things and see WHY he was actually doing it. Was he doing it just to help people out, or was there some greater purpose, namely, to prove to people his divine authority???

What do you guys think?

I only chucked out a few christian books like "Genesis Flood", and Josh Mcdowells book "Evidence that demands a verdict" (wish I had of kept that one, for fun). And Keith Greens "Last Days Ministries collection".
"Late great planet earth" was chucked out while I was christian. However my bibles still remain, except the few that fell apart from opening and reading too much, they had to go a while ago.
How about you all.

Personally speaking i believe in God but in no religions. But let me ask you, what if i go around praying to all Gods? Since all religions tend to teach morally right things, i follow all their rules at my own will...then will i go to heaven? Becuz i believe, it is 'the way of life' and 'belief' that counts...not in what God or what religion becuz basically all religions are pointing to the same GOD in different names...am i right?

Okay, I believe that GOD has that special "someone" out there for me. Now, as far as "biblically", does anyone know if I'm supposed to "Wait on the Lord" or actively put "legs" on my prayers and actively seek her?I have scripture to back up BOTH, but what do YOU think?

Chapter 6:1-6
1 And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto 2 them beautiful and comely daughters. And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: 'Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men 3 and beget us children.' And Semjaza, who was their leader, said unto them: 'I fear ye will not 4 indeed agree to do this deed, and I alone shall have to pay the penalty of a great sin.' And they all answered him and said: 'Let us all swear an oath, and all bind ourselves by mutual imprecations 5 not to abandon this plan but to do this thing.' Then sware they all together and bound themselves 6 by mutual imprecations upon it. And they were in all two hundred; who descended in the days of Jared on the summit of Mount Hermon, and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn.

Did something happen to you to make you believe in God? Maybe you never used to believe that God exists but something happened to make you believe? What happened and what made you believe? Do you believe whats in the bible? If yes then why? Do you believe there's a heaven and hell? If yes why? And if you've answered no to any, i'd also like to hear what you have to say. And by the way i don't believe in any of it, i'll believe it when i see it. sorry if that offends anyone.

Ok i just asked a question how can jesus be God's child.like God having wife and children...Jesus always said I am God's son, he never did say, I am God's one and only son.so i think becuz of the respect and fear ppl have on God, they have interpreted this as Jesus being the only son of God...But what it could mean is quite different in my opinion...I believe We are all God's Children...we share part of God's consciousness thats all. Ok but alot of ppl answered to me that jesus is God's only son, and some of u guys also claimed that God has a family up there jus like us humans...and said it was found in the bible...
let me ask you, is this God, God of the universe or God of Mother earth? How come God happens to have da same lifestyle as us humans? Like having family and so on.i mean this lifestyle is exclusive only to earth.cuz in anthr planet things r diff. ther could b no such thing as wife, female sex, children there...Isnt ther a flaw? As if bible written in earth's context alone?

just answer like the way in the following with humilation:

i am a muslim and i believe that there is no god but allah, and i believ in all books and prophets sent by allah, and the last prophet is Mohammed (PBUH). i believe in fate and the after life.

the mistakes of others are:
1- christians: they say that Jesus is son of god.. that is not true because Allah is a powerful god, he never have a wife or a son...
the book sent to them by god was altered by humans.

2- jews: some of them say that Ezra is son of god...and others say that god makes sins...and he is the god of them alone....and the diffrence between a jew and others is like difference between a human and an animal.... the killed an humilate their prophets too.. they altered the book sent by allah to them.

3- athiests: they do not bilieve in god at all...and in the same time... they can not provide answers and explanations.... for example: they deny the there is a creator that engineered that nature and that human

Let me preface, yes I'm an athiest, but I ask this only for new perspectives and information.....

1st- No we can not prove man evolved from ape.
2nd- Yes we can prove evolution has happened and continues to happen in many species.

So why when "God acts in mysterious ways" is a near maxim for christians, do so many christians oppose teaching evolution....?
Would the logical conclusion, from a religious prespective be that God created evolution?

What do u mean when u say jesus is God's son?...I think there is a misconception here...jesus said he was God's son? I believe what he meant is that all of us are god's children...if really jesus is da only child of God, wad u mean by 'child' in the world of God-dom? U mean God is like human with wife and kids up there? Pls clarify my doubt...
