The Bible teaches neither heaven nor hell... the bible teaches that death is the opposite of life,, and life ceases to exist. Ecclesiastes 9: 5,6 ,10
"For the living are conscious that they will die, but as for the dead they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. Also their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun. All that you hands find to do , do with your very power for there is no work, nor devising, nor knowledge, nor wisdom in Sheol the place to which you are going" So if the dead aren't conscious of anything,, and there is no knowledge or wisdom,, Then Genesis 3:16 must be true " you will return to the ground for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and dust you will return" They will decompose to put it simply. It's like asking where a flame goes when you blow out a candle.

Interesting question. I myself think there is truth in all religions. The main idea is to BELIEVE in a higher power so actually there are NO "false" religions just religions of different beliefs. Do you think God, Allah, Jehova, etc etc are all really different? I dont see that. Let your heart and soul decide then use your head to quantify. You will do fine! Ooops, almost forgot, we all go to the same place at death!

Religion itself is wrong! The way I have always looked at things is, God gave us the truth... The devil gave us religion. Think about it. Religion seperates me from my brothers and sisters. They are this and I am this. They are black, white green and I am purple. Look how "religion" has seperated our christian brothers and sisters. Look how it has seperated the muslims. Jewish people have different ideas as well which seperate them from each other. Who gives a crap if some people like to pray one way and others like to pray another. They are praying... to who? To God! People need to get off their "religious" throwns and realize that their throwns are all false. Only one thrown remains... that is the one reserved for God himself.

I believe the Roman Catholic church is not of God or Jesus anymore. It may have started this way which was around 300 ad when the Christian church was in hiding because of persecution. But this does not mean I do not love my RC bro or sister. It's the RC church itself that has brought false doctrine into their traditions. Makes me sad.
The Roman Cath. church did not start Christianity like many RC's think. It was called Catholic which means universal-had nothing to do with Rome or The Roman cath. church.
I also believe God judges the heart through their faith in him. It would be wrong for a christian to say all RC's are going to hell-that would be judging the individual soul and that would be wrong!
The bible says we should judge righteously. And the RC church goes against bible teaching on so many counts I could talk about it all day. If anyone is interested I'll e-mail you contradictions on their tradition with bible scripture.
There's a man at my brothers church who was studying to be a RC priest and decided to read the bible for himself. He is now NOT roman catholic.
If one reads the bible they will see the truth if they are seeking it.

Wait, I'm confused. Christianity came out of Catholicism - so how could Catholicism be so horribly wrong that you would go to hell but Christianity, which grew out of it, could be right? Or maybe you are confused?

if, and only IF, Catholicism is a false religion, i doubt that God will punish its members with eternal damnation just because they believe with all sincerity that what they are following is the truth.

Ecclesiasticus
Chapter 1
36 Be not incredulous to the fear of the Lord: and come not to him with a double heart. 37 Be not a hypocrite in the sight of men, and let not thy lips be a stumblingblock to thee. 38 Watch over them, lest thou fall, and bring dishonour upon thy soul, 39 And God discover thy secrets, and cast thee down in the midst of the congregation. 40 Because thou camest to the Lord wickedly, and thy heart is full of guile and deceit.

It does not matter what "Religion" anyone is.. in fact it is "Religion" that is sending people to hell bc of teaching false doctrine. Bottom line.. no matter who you are or what religion you are or if you are the best person on earth..if you HAVE NEVER prayed to God and asked Jesus to be your savior and forgive your sins, you will go to hell.
