I'm not sure to what you are refering
if you are refering to people inability to see God's Word for the truth that it is....then I agree with you.
I'm assuming when you say
"The blind lead the blind, and they both fall into the ditch!"
You are refering to people following popular and polically correct worldly views and falling by the wayside.

If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, 4Â among whom the god of this system of things (Satan) has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through." 2 Corinthians 4:3-4
What makes me say that Satan is the God of this system?(1 John 5:19) "We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one." (John 14:30, Ephesians 2:2)

I do not think it is a matter of them not seeing the words, I think it is lack of clear understanding or sheer ignoring of what they see.
