as an american muslim find that many people will say things like "all muslims hate us".in fact i just read a answer given by some ignorant fool(this is the nicest way i can desribe that person) that said "I'm against all forms of organized religions, but I dislike Islam the most.
Why?
Well seeing as how they would love for the chance to kill me simply because I'm American".does this person even realize that there are a ton of american converts to islam.
and i also like to point out anyone who has been to the middle east would know the majority of people there are in love with america.its only a minority that says foolish things like "death to america".and there are quite a few non-muslim arabs.

my point is why can't people seperate a race/nationality of people from a religion?i don't call all Jewish people Israeli.because Judaism isn't a race/nationaltity its a religion.and there are Jewish people of all colors and nationalities. The same goes for Islam.

how you feel, during process of evolution or what religion told you, who came first? i.e egg or hen or men or women ? if we believes that egg came first, then who laid it? obviously hen. so if we believes on hen came first, then it should be hatched from egg.
or evolutionst believes that both genders evolved simultanously during process of creation by god or by evolution? what is more logical to believe?

To begin with, this is not some Athiest trying to piss off religious people. It's a genuine question that I would like an answer to. I'm very interested in theology and am always looking for good, intelligent opinions on the issues seen concerning the bible.

Now then.
Leveticus quotes that homosexuality is an abomination, and many religious people are quick to throw this around. But it also states that shaving is a sin, as is eating pork, wearing polyester, and having a vegetable garden.
It also says that God commands mildewy clothing to be burned and adulterers to be stoned and cut off from their people. The breaking of some of these results in death or excommunication.
But of course, these sins are commited daily across the board.
I wonder, is there something I missed that states these are no longer sins? Or are they just sins people have decided to commit anyways, not following the word of God?

survive this hurricane, some of them say I prayed to god and he saved me, its a miracle.
How do they know their survival was not random?
Like a huricane doesn't kill everyone, people survive.
How do people know their prayers are answered, how do they know they are not just a random surviver amongst the dead?

I've heard many people talking about this book but I forgot what it was called. It's genre is religous and spirituality and I know it started with an R. For example The Redemption or something. And it's not part of the Left Behind series. I think it's about a prostitute who becomes saved or I don't really remember but any help would be nice.

Personally i believe it will happen within 20 years. What do you think? Israel has already said that they will give the US 6 months to strike Iran or they will go it alone, and they will. So Christians how long do you think until the antichrist appears? Like I said I reckon easly within 20 years, and I really mean it. Also who hear reckons they will be alive when Christ raptures the church up in the air to go to Heaven during the great tribulation? I know all that, No man knows the day or hour right? but come on it is just a question. So what do you think?

Genesis 5:
1 This is the written account of Adam and his descendants. When
God created humans, he made them in the likeness of God. 2 He
created them male and female. He blessed them and called them
humans when he created them. 3 When Adam was 130 years old, he
became the father of a son in his own likeness, in his own
image. He named him Seth.4 After Adam became the father of
Seth, he lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 5
Adam lived a total of 930 years; then he died.
this is to show there were many more children.

'It is amazing how complete is the delusion that beauty is goodness.' Leo Nikolaevich Tolstoy.

Is physical beauty one of the 'universal goods' like love, justice, equality etc? And what does Christianity say about it?
And how come that our 'modern' culture places so much value on the beauty of physical appearances?

There are many religions, like Hindu's talk to Krishna, JW's to Jehovah, Shinto to the Sun God and so and so on, how do they know they aren't just talking to themselves? Being in love makes you high and mists your judgement. How do they know are not just being in love with their own inner voices?
