Revelation 21:8 states "But the fearful, and unbelieving ... shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone." Brimstone is sulphur. In order for sulphur to be molten, its temperature must be at or below 444.6 °C or 832 °F.
So hell must be about 445 C Max
The flashpoint of asbestos is 1400 C
So, no, you wouldn't!
(NB, Asbestos is highly toxic though! Eating it is not a good idea!)

Good question - a bit theological for me? Why not find your nearest priest and ask him what the temperature of hell is - then work out the quantity of asbestos needed to make yourself heat proof!!

I believe in the Bible completely...and the answer is definately no! There is no hell (as in a burning pit of fire), hell is just the grave, there is no consciousness there so you cant burn.
