After all, each one is basically a manual of how to live life in a manner that is right and good. Does it not therefore make sense to review every teaching that is available and produce a definitive text for today?
Does any religion say this cannot be done?

My sister recently told me that she is a practicing Wiccan, or a witch. As a Christian, I have no problem accepting people of other religions as long as they are secure in their spirituality and believe it with their whole hearts. However, sometimes I think that she may be just going along with the crowd on this one; something I cannot and will not respect. How should I ask her about this?

i was raised Protestant (Methodist), and while i was younger, it was good for me. now, i am a spiritually struggling adult, wife of a USNavy Sailor, mum of an 18 month old boy...and i realized a while ago that organised religion is not for me.

i am eco-friendly, very lunar, and believe there is more to life that what you see. i want to learn about paganism because it might be a good fit for me, and if nothing else, it might help me understand who i strive to be...

I've been studying as a Witch , (Wiccan by belief) on and off for a few years now (periods of illness etc interrupting) and I just wanted to ask someone more experienced what would be the most effective and preferably fast acting charm or spell to help someone succeed in finding a job as theyve tried for ages n their spirits are getting quite low. I've looked around and am quite confused by the sheer abundance of stuff around but too close to the situation (its my partner) to be that clear minded in picking something! Any advice most appreciated..

When we say that all things including humans are man made, then who made the first man who is responsible for all the things we have on earth at this time.

I would have more (a bit more, that is, not much more) respect for faiths if they went no further than saying that there is a god and it would be beneficial to honour him, without all of the rigmarole of dogma, teachings, sacred books etc, which tend to be divisive, problematic and downright silly.

To whom it applies, I am not talking about all Christians.
Why do they have to resort to lies?
Is this what Jesus(pbuh) taught?
Is this is what Christianity is about?
I don't know how many times I've heard the moon god drivel but can anyone support this statement through the holy book we follow or actual historical facts. Allah appears 17 times on the first page of the Arabic Bible, is Allah still the moon god?
Do Christians condemn their actions?

I just received an email from a professed Christian. I had pointed out in an earlier answer that Christians threaten people with hell as a basic premise of their faith in order to convert people. He responded by sending me an email saying, "We do not threaten non-believers. We simply tell them that if they do not accept Jeses they will burn in hell forevr". Are there any people out there that DO NOT see this belief structure as a basic threat????!!!!

According to a reliable history book, Angel Gabriel appeared to Mohamed to bring new faith in his country. Angel Gabriel is an angel of the Christian God and so if it was the Christian God who ordered angel Gabriel to teach Mohamed the religion he taught about, it means that Christians and Muslims are actually brothers and sisters under One the same God. Maybe this is a probable reason why Muslims rebuke Christians of believing that Jesus is a God compared to their Mohammed who happened to be a prophet for them. If all these are true, then there's no point in proving who's the better religion since we have the same necessary beliefs and One God anyway. And don't you think it is admirable how God tried to reach the whole world just to let us know that He is there for us?

I believe Virgin Mary is the purest woman in creation and her devotion to God made her be the choosen one. but I must say I laugh at people who picture this 30+ year old woman carrying baby Jesus (PBUT), because this picture is a fabrication. Just like the fabrication that Jesus (PBUH) was white and had blue eyes and blond hair!

So at 12-14 in those times it was a perfectly normal age to have a child. Do you think this is under age?
