Well, is he Wiccan as well? It doesn't matter how strongly you want a spell to work for him, if he doesn't act in kind (though it sounds like he does) the spell will not work. It will also work better and faster for him if he casts it himself.
One spell I did once was for a new job. I can't remember it exactly (and of course am not home, so I can't look it up), but it involved writing by ideal specifications for a job on a piece of paper, burning a certain incense, several stones and green candles. I cast it on...I think it was Thursday, which is a day for prosperity and new beginnings. I don't have my tables with me, and I've moved three times within a year, so I haven't been able to devote the time to studies that I would like, either. You can probably take elements from a couple of the spells you really like and come up with one on your own.
Good luck!

Maybe these might help?
***Wishing Rope Charm
Knot wishes into a rope your exact height. With each knot, say:
“This wish I now make,
manifests itself in my life.”
Hold rope in incense or candle smoke and place under or at the foot of your bed. On the seventh day, unknot the rope and lay it away for future use.
***Spell to Draw Desires
After proper meditation, place whatever candles you wish in front of you and begin the drawing. You may use a pencil and paper, but other things are encouraged as well. Markers, pens, just not water colors or anything that will take too long to dry. Draw with power. Invest your self energies and the elemental powers into the drawing. Draw your desire, may it be love, a curse, protection, anything. After you have finished drawing, take a candle with the correct color for the spell and burn the piece of paper after you have folded it up into a package. Put the burning paper on a heat proof surface and watch the flames go out. As it does, the power of the drawing is released and will begin working. Let the candle burn itself out.
***Spell to Grant a Powerful Wish
This is a little complicated to describe but is well worth it. You need a piece of paper (recycled notebook paper works fine). On the paper, write a short poem or chant to the Goddess and God that states your wish. It is alright if you aren’t the best poet on earth! But it is very important that you say exactly how you feel and what exactly you need. Do your best and say it from the heart. Close the poem with thanks to the Goddess and God. Fold it in half with the words inside it. Draw the triple goddess sign on the outside. Now fold it in half again with the symbol on the inside. Now draw a pentacle on the paper. Finally, flip it over and write your name and birth date on the other side. Put this aside in a safe place and your wish will come true in due time. If you change your mind before it comes true, burn the paper and put the ashes to the earth.

Wow! You have received a lot of good advice (as well as the expected ignorance of the "all knowing" few). I am glad to know I am not the only Hedge Witch here (40+years)! Talk with Marcus.
The 7 knot charm is a good one as well as the visualization (my favorite). You might make a necklace using Bloodstone (preferred), chryophase ( a green form of chalcedony), cat's eye or jade bound with gold or copper wire. Make sure you cleanse them tho! To bring happiness try amethyst bound in silver.
Also get out and do something fun! If for nothing else to break the tension your partner is feeling.
Perhaps you can utilize a number of the suggestions you have received here!
Good luck!

Quick spell for a pick-me-up
1. Get out of the house
2. Go to a park or something
3. Enjoy yourself.
Seriously. If I recall right, there are no spells to influence how a person feels. Just go out and have some fun at Six Flags or something. Do a spa day.
As for motevating your partner, tell him to keep at it. I have a friend who hasn't had a job in over a year. Of course, he's lazy, but still, I haven't let up. He just might get one this year.
Try college or something.

It's simple, just write '[Name] needs a job in which he earns good money, which he enjoys, is challenged by and able to do, with good fellow workers and a nice boss, with good prospects, in an honest and reputable firm. I ask that the right job become available in this area, and that those interviewing candidates look beyond his low spirits and obvious demoralisation and see his skills, education, mind, abilities. I ask that this come about in such a way that is correct, work for the good of all concerned, and harm none.' on a piece of paper (not recycled), activate the four elements, burn the paper (air and fire) and wash the ashes into the earth (water and earth). He needs to keep looking, keep trying, it's out there.
The spell itself doesn't need to be fancy, it just needs to get out there.

I prefer to work with stones and metal. Get green stone (growth, prosperity) and some gold wire (positive energy, forward movement). Wrap the wire around the green stone while visualizing finding a good and meaningful job. Either place the stone in a spot where it will be seen everyday on the way out of the house or carry it with you.
For the Fundies and other haters out there, if you can't say something constructive, don't say anything.

Your partner should spend some time in active visualization. He should visualize himself being the person who stands out, who has that special spark. he should visualize himself having a very good interview with an employer; that there is a connection, that he is calm and confident, that he is articulate, and so on. He should do this daily.
Now, the rest of this note here is to the Christians who always show up on these questions to condemn or harass us.
Are you purposely trying to alienate and radicalize the Pagans who have, in general, accepting views of Christians?
I'm an interfaith kind of person - I have friends of many religious paths, and some VERY dear friends who are Christians. Some are even clergy.
You are going a far way to changing that. Every time y'all show up on questions about my religion to condemn, or even worse, accuse me of being a Satanist, or quote that misquote in your scripture about not suffering a Witch to live (it's really "a poisoner") you erode my good feelings about Christians. I have to remind myself that you're not all like that. It's actually affecting my relationships with the Christian friends I have.
Is that what you are trying to accomplish? Do you WANT to make enemies out of tolerant and accepting, peaceful Pagans?
I think you ought to think about the consequences of your actions.

I agree with orla c. My mum is a wicca and although i dont strictly belive it One thing i do belive is make your connection with the earth, after all we live on it and what you believe will have more strenth. Make your own ritual, doesnt need to be fancy but something that satisfies you.
Christianity stole sooo much from wicca and pagans (prolly more besides) that its practicly a frankenstien religion. Believe what you find true and dont listen to fannys who say otherwise.

I am very out of practice but you'll want green candles if i recall. You sohuld have a book with references such as the crystals you need and then just do you own ritual, get a picture of the person and place it on your altar covered with the crystal and light the candles.

Merry Meet Serephina
I am a Practicing Hedgewitch and have been for 5 years now. You need a good success spell and I can supply you with one.
I can't print it here because of Morons like Leviathan who can't believe that any other religions exsist except christianity. Not only that but he doesn't know his bible quotes either. The original text, before the King James version was published read "Suffer ye not a POISONER to live".
Email me and we can talk.
Blessed Be
Marcus
