this is a good point to consider!
when i was 14 i couldve easily, and much easier than now, marry a 12 year old. I couldve gone to work without finishing high school or going on to college and university and we could've been in love for many years. That is considering if i still had the faith in marriage I had throughout my life and the belief in god to be moral.
but having sex at such a young is a DNA and genetic bond made with the two bodies of flesh.
As for criminal acts, the laws of the land and judges throughout our culture has made it illegal. People will complain and go on their life goals to get laws changed.
and eventually the moral majority can come to terms and agree.
However there are many times when Democracy and majority rule dominate laws and traditions that are not righteous and thus illegal sex has been legitimized from time to time in History.

have you not noticed women are running things. They apparently think they as a group are smarter than God who decided when puberty should arrive. There is that problem that if women get pregnant at age 12 then they will be less likely to be able to hold powerful positions but perhaps that is why God decided on the age 12.
Note also that monogany is not actually a Biblical imparative. In fact it is used as a way of determining (separating out) those who have the gift of teaching

The Bible says for us to obey the laws of the land, if that law does not go against God's laws. Here in the USA, a woman has to be 18, & 16 with a parent permission. And none younger unless that woman is conceived before 16, then that Father of that child can go to prison, but that is also based upon the parents decision.

If you check, most states can marry at 14 by a court...16 by parent consent. Some even allow first cousin. The state I'm in....double cousin is the only thing not legal and I'm in the bible belt.
((if your moms sister married your dads brother and had a child, that child would be your double cousin))

Only if you are a child malester...and you want to become a legal child malester you will want to mary a 12 years old Girl...and what parents in their right mind will give you permission to mary a 12 years old child...I guess you must be another fanatic Christian....reading the bible so much your brain start snaping...get help before you end up in Jail.

huh? That age is never said in the bible. Also understand that many times when the bible speaks of marriage it includes engagement. Many couples were engaged or promised to each other at very young ages but were not officially"married" until later ages. This question is just absurd

The New Testament is the Christian Bible to live by. Where in the New Testament did you find such an instance? GOD expects HIS PEOPLE to read, study, and obey what is written in the NT. The Old Testament was written for those prior to Jesus' death, burial, and resurrectiuon. HE is our savior and will return for JuDgMeNt when we least expect it. Have a great day.

Because our life spans have increased allowing the time for children to be children to increase.
Besides most people I meet aren't ready to accept the responsibilities of marriage at 30, why would a 12 year old be different?

If our morality has not needed to be updated why do we no longer have to worry what we will do if our slave accidently loses an eye while we are beating them?
