as an american muslim find that many people will say things like "all muslims hate us".in fact i just read a answer given by some ignorant fool(this is the nicest way i can desribe that person) that said "I'm against all forms of organized religions, but I dislike Islam the most.
Why?
Well seeing as how they would love for the chance to kill me simply because I'm American".does this person even realize that there are a ton of american converts to islam.
and i also like to point out anyone who has been to the middle east would know the majority of people there are in love with america.its only a minority that says foolish things like "death to america".and there are quite a few non-muslim arabs.

my point is why can't people seperate a race/nationality of people from a religion?i don't call all Jewish people Israeli.because Judaism isn't a race/nationaltity its a religion.and there are Jewish people of all colors and nationalities. The same goes for Islam.

Don't care what people think, we are on Earth to submit to God to get our reward. Let them live their lives of ignorance, and if they wrong you, forgive them.

Peace Be With You

Your American Muslim Brother!

What a wonderful question!!!!!!!
As a lower-middle class-tax burdened white American male I do not hate anyone. The distasteful events in the world by the extremists within and without the American borders has many scared and many more in denial of the fact that some are willing to give everything to take away lives and liberties.

The extremists are bent on having their way and the conspiracy theories, neo-con hating, appeasement attitudes of the western countries leaves much room for ignorance.

To separate or distinguish one race from another would be of monumental consequence. But, we as Americans, are not allowed to do this. Its called profiling. We are asked to see each person as a blank non colored sheet of paper, all the while recognizing and celebrating the fact that they are different. Does this not seem like a dog chasing its tail?

The leftists, an extremist philosophy, does not allow the separation of moderates from the extreme right or left. We are expected to be a collective that points out the differences of those who squeal the loudest so that they may be upheld above the collective, thereby raising the consciousness of the collective.

I apologize for rambling on in this circular logic. I use this as example of the want to be leaders ideology. Watch and learn from the ACLU as to how to steal the rights of the many to proclaim righteousness for the rights of the few.

We should all think about and practice our own moral boundaries. A firm foundation will always hold the many inside the home.

Who do Muslims in America turn to for answers to deep questions about Islam?

Imams and other scholars right? Who do those Imams and scholars turn to for their answers? Who are the final answerers of questions and ultimate decisions on the interpretation of the religion and where do they reside? I would imagine it would be an Arab in an Arab land who could interpret in the language in which it was written and from the people it came from.

Where are all Muslims expected to go at least once in their lives? Hint: It is in an ARAB country.

You can never take the Arab out of Islam.

Just because there are good humans who think they are true Muslims doesn't mean the ideology is not bad, doesn't mean that they are not being used for their donations to fund "terrorism", does not mean they are unknowingly being used as the pretty face of Islam that hides the hideous face of terrorism.

When it is like pulling teeth to get more than a half dozen Muslims in America to openly and public say that Osama Bin Laden's acts of terrorism are sins against Islam hmm makes you wonder.

And yet they come out of the wood work when someone has a legitimate question about Islam that may doesn't glorify Islam or may seem even slightly negative towards Islam.

whatever... quit whining and doing PR work on yahoo and go form a rally big enough to get the Medias' attention so you can SHOW the world you mean it when you say "We are not terrorist" "Osama Bin Laden is a sinner against Islam" or something to that effect!!!

If Muslim haters in the west knew how to separate a Muslim from an Arab would that be any better? Is it ok for them to hate Arabs but not to hate Muslims?

Part of this hate stuff comes from the human tendency to be prejudiced against people from a different group (google: Sherif Robber's-Cave), and part of it is due to subtle political propaganda to ptomote war. Its like the hatred towards "Krauts" and "Japs" and "Godless Commies" or other bogeymen.

I am an Iranian and proud to be one but my religion comes before my nationality. As for America,I think they have offered alot to the whole world without any questions. In such a short time they have moved from slavery to democracy which is by far the best form of government.I keep thinking to myself though if they fumble and make a mistake, they would kill any chance of democracy in Iran.I want for every body in my country to be free. But for myself i 'll stay a muslim even if all Iranians become pagans.

whether you like it or not, all muslims are part of terrorism and radical islam because they do nothing to stop it....

I have talked to a convert to christianity from islam from a muslim country, and he says that muslims in the muslim countries are taught from childhood to hate the west, and the condemn jews and christians as "satans." He said that what you tell us is just to persuade us, because muslims are afraid of american reactions. So what you are saying is not true. Allah gives you permission to kill us..

think about what kind of religion you have..

Some one from so called intellectual society has deliberately confused religion with nationality and race, so that people loose track of where they are from and where they are now. People will always and have always discriminated whether on racial lines or religious and tribal etc.

Well, since there is violence being done in your name, maybe you should make it a point to separate yourself from it.

The terrorists are not saying that they are doing the horrible things because they are Arab. They are the ones saying that they are doing it because they are Muslim. I currently don't see a counter movement, so I am left with believing them.

And for the record Persian Muslims are just as involved, Asian Muslims are just as involved. And it isn't uncommon to find Muslims from western countries involved as well

In view of Somalia, Thailand, Tibet and India. Yes.

Tell me, why are there now ARABS fighting in Somalia.

Do Arabs always have to get involved in Islamic fights? Is that some kind of prerequist. Don't they think others can fight their own battles or are non-Arab Islamics so weak they need a good, strong Arab working with them!

Now, with that kind of fodder, what was the question again!

I think people who hate islam in general, on the whole, are not able to stay uninfluenced by the media, are unable to separate singe individuals' deeds from religion on the whole.
