it is their reality that God saved them, and their prayers were answered,,,,,, though i guess there really is no certain way, to know, except to feel it,,,,,,, its like saying i am a good/devoted/caring husband or wife,,,,, and thus my marriage is successful,,,,,,, yet the overall reality is that many have those qualities, and have horrible marriages,,,,,

They don't, but the problem is not that they survived, but that they refused to leave their valuables behind and evacuate. When Katrina hit New Orleans, there was not a Jehovah's Witness to be found in the city. They made sure every member, and their neighbors, got out to Texas. Every witness was set up in another witness home within hours and have mostly returned as their old homes are being rebuilt by witnesses. What other church can say they knew where every one of their members was and that they had housing?

God decides whether its your time to go or not, prayer and faith choose whether you go to Heaven or hell... When a hurricane or something like that happens, all that means is there is a lot of people who's time has come.... Like some people jump off buildings and survive, other people get a paper cut, develop some random fungus and die... God determines who's staying and who's going, everything happens for a reason...

You are correct. The bible states that unforeseen things will occur. As Gods people he already warned us that we could be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Also these are critical times we are dealing with. So Christians have plenty of warning. But it is a blessing when a person comes out of a disaster untouched. As it is possible a person could be in the right place as well. Its a matter of circumstance. God will not interject himself until those persons harm his people. As the bible states it is like touching his eyeball. In other words when his people are under persecution it is a sensitive matter to God. Hope that helps.

Because everything that is good comes from God who is pure love itself. If they were in the middle of the hurricane then it may have been a miracle or may not have been. I believe that all life on this whole planet is a miracle. The birth of a child is a miracle and so on.

It's just the way they feel. They feel some higher power just HAD to be involved. It's much the same when you see some vehicle that has been in a terrible accident, been practically "pancaked" to about 8 inches or something weird, only to find out that the passenger inside survived. And you just can't help but to think: "It just wasn't their time yet."

Because you have a two side page and according to the Bible and what God said in it first: every good and perfect gift comes form Him ... Next he said in the beginning that he sets before us Life and Death
Blessing and Cursing
Creation and Chaos
Love and Hate
Faith and Fear
and on and on,
This planet was hijacked by the little "god" Beelzabub that fallen one Lucifer through ewvents at present beyond our comprehension but revealed to us in summary by the fall of Adam to the Serpent.... since then the Bible says tha all of creation groans and writhes in agony at its present conditon and states and waits to know the redemption of itself fromits present vile state.
So in this present age and world system all the the hings on the above death side of the page are emantions of the evil one and on the life side of the page of the LORD God of Host whom people thank if he divinely saves them.
Finally I guess it is the same reason that genius like Einstein said there are two ways to live, believe and think about life "that everything is by chance or that nothing is" ... and he went one to say "I do not believe that God plays dice" From there the choice is up to you --- everything is chance or nothing is. A God that said that every hair on your head is numbered , every one, and that not the smallest sparrow dies without him allowing it to fall gives little room for chance. But then it is your choice , in every moment the choice is ours and we have what we believe and say he also said/\. Peace to you.

Good question. I believe when you see what conditions people came out of and hear what they have to say about what happened, this points to a miracle. And most times the miracle is the result of prayer.

I survived a couple when I lived in Florida. I had scientists tell me it was coming and I got the heck out of the way.
