I have noticed a trend of pagan/witch parents who do not tell their children about the 'old religion' until they are 13, or not at all, or let them find it on their own. I was just wondering if this is a local trend or not.

I was in a pro-life rally a few monthes ago. It was a silent thing we held signs and just prayed. We were told not to pay attention to or react to anything that people did to antagonise us. But as we were standing there these guys behind us actually started saying how it was wrong to have teens doing it (me being one of them b/c they said we'd been brain washed). Then to make matters worse these college guys after driving by once came back w/ signs saying terrible things like the only good fetus is a dead one. it made me cry and it still upsets me today. I mean why would someone go out of their way just to get us to know they don't agree? I know not everyone was going to like what we were doing but still we weren't hurting anyone or anything. please can someone help me with this I just don't get it.

I would've never done that to anyone at a protest/ rally........I respect others even when i don't think the same way on certain topics

ok, one we haven't done in a while, I thought I would go through andlist everything that seems off and unreasonable or illogical

ok first off the ark itself and the specifications of loading it

--the ark was to be built as such; 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high, which would be a volume of 2, 531, 250 ft, built all out of wood and as far as we know, done by himself...a 600 yr old man, or least with the help of his two sons who would have been 100 byt this point. (not to mention the triple decks, which would include more wood and pitch to seal it with)

--also he was to store two of every kind of animal, at least in chapter 6, and store food of every kind of all over the world since the world was going to be destroyed, chapter 7 it gets expanded to 2 of every unclean animal and 7 of every clean animal, and 7 of every kind of bird.........that is a lot to be carrying around and a lot of weight.....also add the fact you had about 10 people on board, noah, his sons and all the wives of each

--you have the fact that it rained for 40 days and 40 nights all over the earth, and then the water stayed for a 150 days....so the whole thing took 6 months

ok there are the facts.......now not to mention the improbablity of something liek the ark ever being made since nothing of its proportions was seen until almost 6000 years later, or the amount of animals on board this ark would not have been able to fit inside cponsidering how many animal kinds we had about 6000 years ago. We have the food supply, which I hardly see lasting for 6 months even to stay edible, or to sustain all that were on the ark. Also, when it was all over raining, Noah started sending out a dove to find proof of land, which was a fig leaf. Now how a fig tree lasted underwater for 6 months and did not die is beyond me. Also you have to have food, which if they had any it would be extremely low and all the plant life would not have survived being drowned for 6 months to give food. Also the water that had been so much extra is missing, we never found it.

Islamically, we're supposed to douche. However, medical science has determined that douching isn't very safe for women. It can spread bad bacteria within the vagina and up to the cervix. Also, it decreases the chance of pregnancy by some percentage (forgot the number) Also, supposidely..the vagina cleans itself? So, it doesn't make any sense to douche..but if you're muslim..you know we've been taught to douche quite frequently..it's for hygene purposes..and it's Sunnah.

More than 40% of American Muslims are African-American
Around 7-10% are white
the rest are divided about 30% Desi
only 12-14% are Arab which is the same % worldwide

So, why do we continue to be ignorant about this?

I asked an almost identical question before this, but now I need to know what material they use to make the priest's white collar. Is it threaded material? Can you give me the name(s) of the material-i.e. nylon, polyester, etc., etc.? Any fabrication details would help.

but how many atheists have really thought about how short this life is compared to the rest of time and how relatively insignificant our time here is compared to eternity?

Many people die relatively young and with little or no warning such as in a car accident. But, even if someone lives to be 100, if they are 30 or 40 now, they would only have 60 to 70 years. What percentage is that of eternity?

your self-esteem?

I think freedom is freedom from things that overpower or enslave you...like addictions, or compulsive behaviors (lying, cheating, etc). In addition to being self-destructive, these things also lead to self-delusion... by making the effected person think it is a good thing, and they are "free", and do what they please. Any thoughts?

To clarify the question, I wanted to know how some people are able to find God's existence credible and verifiable, whereas others are able to completely reject the notion of 'God'. On the otherhand, we have fence sitters known as the agnostic. I'm interested in seeing which category you belong to and why you fit in the category, or have chosen to. Integrity and an objective approach is much appreciated. Thanks!

We invite you to search the Bible, especially the 27 books of the Christian Greek Scriptures, to see for yourself if Jesus and his disciples taught a Trinity. As you search, ask yourself:

1. Can I find any scripture that mentions “Trinity”?

2. Can I find any scripture that says that God is made up of three distinct persons, Father, Son, and holy spirit, but that the three are only one God?

3. Can I find any scripture that says that the Father, Son, and holy spirit are equal in all ways, such as in eternity, power, position, and wisdom?

Search as you may, you will not find one scripture that uses the word Trinity, nor will you find any that says that Father, Son, and holy spirit are equal in all ways, such as in eternity, power, position, and wisdom. Not even a single scripture says that the Son is equal to the Father in those ways—and if there were such a scripture, it would establish not a Trinity but at most a “duality.” Nowhere does the Bible equate the holy spirit with the Father.

I dont pay much attention to all those storys myself. I only learn from what Jesus said.and I do my best to do Gods will the way Jesus wonted me to.by excepting the Spirit of God into me and asking of it and listening for the answers and trying to do what God wonts me to.

...in order to be a 'true Christian"

I thought John said Jesus was the only way to be saved,

not the Jewish folklore/lawbooks.....

Aren't you putting idols before God by worshipping a book?

Where does it say that you have to take it literally,
not metaphorically? Where is the basis to this belief about believing stories as literal fact word for word,
especially genesis and revelations, suspension of disbelief is really called for.

Who are the faulse prophets today.
Do you agree any one who claims to be a preacher of the Gospel and does so for money or not according to the Lord's way of sending forth preaches as in Mathew 10 must be a faulse preacher?

The old God is quite mean, killing off everyone in a flood, putting plagues upon entire civilisations, acting as a force of tribal warfare in the book of Joshua, torturing poor Job, if he's perfect why did he commit these actions only to renounce them later?
