Ok. To elaborate a little more on my question: I am Wiccan, thus very religious, yet probably moreso spiritual than anything. I've notice many people on these questions place that constantly talk s*** about each others' beliefs. I don't think it's nice. I think what anyone believes in, or doesn't (athiest) is their choice and all the power to you for that.

KATE HOPKINS: I am extremely devoted to my religion. I don't need to get over myself, because I'm not under myself. And you are being mean and judgemental by saying that non-religious people are idiots.
Thanks for further proving my point however. :)

Because when one group who thinks they have the "Truth" in the bag runs into another group who feel the same thing about their ideas...well, both "truths" are bound to take a beating if either tries to compromise. To them it's unaccpetable that anyone BUT them could have the "Truth" sewn up. So they try to change the minds of the other guys...or kill them because they're obviously "The Enemy".

You see, when a religion and its concepts really touch you, and I mean down to your soul, you feel an obligation to protect that religion and its interests because you know in your heart and your mind that it is true.
In the Holy Quran Allah (God) tells us repeatedly that we are created as Khulafah (guardians or vicegerents) of the earth. This concept is obvious because of our superiority to all other creatures. So you are compelled to care for the earth and all that is in it, and pass on your faith to the rest of humanity because you feel that it is your duty. Passing the torch so to speak.

Why are non -religious people such idiots?
See, such generalizations just don't work. Remember how many reliogions there are, and how many different people take part in each.
I'm extremely religious, but I'm open to new ideas and love learning about other religions. Ger over yourself honey, and stop being so uptight about those who are devoted.

I'm not. I could care less about what people think of what I believe. I just don't want THEIR ideas shoved down my throats, any more than you would want someone lurking over your shoulder at work telling you a better way to do everything.

Because their husbands are wearing their good bras, and their pink Hyundis with the fluffy dice on the mirror, are out of registration.

Usually this only includes religions that say they are the only truth, because any other possible truth threatens their religion.

That's just a generalized statement/question. There is diversity of belief in every faith system.
