I have noticed a trend of pagan/witch parents who do not tell their children about the 'old religion' until they are 13, or not at all, or let them find it on their own. I was just wondering if this is a local trend or not.

When I have kids, im not going to push my Satanic beliefs onto them. I'll let them make their own conclusions. I despise people whom force their beliefs on children. If the child doesn't want to follow the parents beliefs, they should respect that.

i am not raising my child that way. But I was raised indoctinrated by religion and it really affected me. So when I tell my daughter things, i tell her that it is ok if she chooses to belief different. I tell her the answers are in her heart.

Good for you. I mean, I don't think you should push any beliefs on children, so I can understand some not teaching until they are older, but I wouldn't hide it from them and if they were curious earlier I would certainly share with them.

My own child was exposed to my beliefs and exposed to the Christian religion. I allowed him to choose what he felt was best for him.

It depends on what you mean by that. I'm raising my son to be Wiccan. I'm also going to teach him Witch ways.
