That's just psychological projection. They are accusing you of the very thing with which they live - denial.
There is no way that you could know whether God exists or not. If you don't believe that God exists, that's all there is to it. Atheism is about reality, not seeing things as we'd like them to be.

Most Atheists don't completely deny the existence of a God. "Strong Atheists" say there is no possibility whatsoever of there being a God, and "Weak Atheists" not all but most deny the existence of the Judeo-Christian/Islamic God, but keep on open mind and wouldn't rule out the possibility of a there being a God. I myself fall into the weak atheist category. I just think that the stories are too far-fetched to be real, but if evidence is proven to the contrary I would consider believing. By the way I love your avatar. I won the DVD when I did the "Blasphemy Challenge"! on YouTube

The only way I can tell you how you know deep down that God exists is from what the Bible says but I'm sure you don't believe that book either. Here is a site with some atheists who did not believe in God until they died clinically and came back to life. They met God on the other side and became firm believers after what they experienced: http://www.near-death.com/atheists.html

Atheists believe that there is no god. To us, you look like kids that still believe in Santa Clause and go around saying, "Do you accept that Santa is watching you and gonna find out if you're naughty or nice??" And also, watching you all fight about who's version of Santa is the right one is pretty funny- or I guess it would be if people didn't DIE over this argument all the time. Does that clear things up?

God does not exist. You hopeless people made him up! It's a bald faced lie to control your minds! Free yourselves of the lies! run away from your churches and mosques Hide your ears from the lies and mute all preachers and clerics mute them for your own sanity wear earplugs and be free.
Atheists know there is no god. They know it's all mind control.
Unfortunately you believers are so brainwashed you cant see truth.

If you are an atheist and you don't believe, then there is no God. That is your reality.
Some believe there is "something" higher "up there" whatever this should be and I don't know the source where they get this from. Maybe to be on the safe side. Just in case.

Christians do not *know* that god exists, they believe it to be so and choose to act as if it is so. It is the "truth" for them, and if that works for them, fine.
It does not follow, however, that what is "true" for one person is necessarily true for all. personal "truth" is subjective. As god's existence cannot be scientifically verified, it remains merely a *personal* truth. It would be more accurate for believers to say, "I believe in god" that to say, "god exists."

Your living and breathing right? Then you know that God is real, because God is awesome and he created you. He knew you before you were in your mother's womb. HE is almighty God!! And, no atheist don't believe that God exist. They may know it but for some reason they don't want to except HIM!!

Rom 1:20-22
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools
