What became of the people prior to Jesus Christ? Where was the "salvation" of God for them?

While Jesus was dead he went and preached to the dead people. The dead people before his death and resurrection either went to hell or to a world right next to hell called Paradise. The good and innocent people went to Paradise. Jesus's death opened the door for those people as well. The people in paradise got to go live in Heaven after his sacrifice. I think the dead in hell had the opportunity to be saved too! God is so good and he means to save everybody who ever lived and who will ever live even if they go to hell. The bible says Jesus will draw all men unto himself, not many men or some, but all of them!

There were other Messengers of Jesus' calabre a long time before he walked this Earth, they all held similar messages for the people of those ages.
The bible and many other religious texts have been rephrased and things taken out, how can one possibly believe a majority of what is written.. Yes, some of it is true, but some of it isnt.. Have we not been taught to not believe everything we read,, take what one needs and leave the rest. Love is the way!

Salvation has always been an issue of faith. However, Romans 3:30 "...since indeed God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith is one." Today we are saved "through faith", Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace you have been saved through faith..." Before Christ they were saved under the law and therefore were saved "by" their faith. God actually saved them because they had faith, today we are saved by grace and faith is given to us by that grace that comes from God. Sorry if this seems complicated, it is a little. In the OT people could be saved by their faith in God as demonstrated by their keeping of the law. Salvation actually came through the nation of Israel. Even Jesus said John 4:22 "...for salvation is from the Jews." Many people converted to Judaism in the OT because they realized that salvation came through the God of the Jews. Hope this helps a little, if you would like a little more explanation you can email me.

Christianity does not desire Christians to appreciate the historic past of Christianity. In 325 A.D. while the hot testomony grew to become into compiled, Early Church Fathers desperate which Gospels could be blanketed and which Gospels does no longer. Excluded Gospels pronounced different common techniques to realize Salvation. they do no longer desire you to appreciate approximately that with the aid of fact they prepare the "in basic terms with the aid of Jesus" dogma. does not it make experience that God welcomes all righteous human beings into heaven? Why do you think of that God has no issue with the life of different religions in the event that they accomplish bringing human beings to righteousness.? there is opposition between the religions and each faith is jumbled jointly with somewhat salesmanship.

Acts24: 15 .... there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous...

Righteous would be those who even without knowing Jesus knew God (Abraham, Enoch,Noah,Job etc.)

What about all the people who did not serve or obey Jehovah because they never knew about him? These billions of “unrighteous” ones will not be forgotten. They too will be resurrected and given time to learn about the true God and to serve him. During a period of a thousand years, the dead will be resurrected and given an opportunity to join faithful humans on earth in serving Jehovah. It will be a wonderful time. This period is what the Bible refers to as Judgment Day.

Hi
Jesus was Jehovah's provision for us to have a way to comunicate with him, so when you say your prayers you start them by addressing to Jehovah and you close them by acknowledging Jesus his son from whom he sent to the earth to sacrifice his humanly life so that all could be saved. Their salvation was to sacrifice animals in atonement for their sins we no longer need to sacrifice because Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for us. Hope this answers your question.

Understand that salvation, since it is from God, is eternally available.

In eternity, which we all come to when we leave the flesh, there is Christ, inviting all to "Come, follow Me."

Doesn't matter if you croaked in 2948AD or 1350BC, you're gonna meet Him in eternity and receive that invitation.

How you answer will determine where you go from there. Those who refuse Him obviously don't wanta go with Him and since He's from heaven, wellllll; there they AIN'T gonna go.

Gimme a break, people! If you're gonna believe in Him at all, then trust God to do it right!

People that lived before Jesus have an opportunity to be resurrected. Not only Jesus resurrected but there are 9 total resurrections that occurred in the bible.

So those persons will be resurrected on the earth and they can make their own choice if they accept Jesus sacrifice for us.
