My explaination is:

The heavenly Angels went against God by lusting after mankind and fulfilling their own desires instead of the purpose of God. They revealed Gods secrets and encouraged sin to mankind on earth. God set aside a great punishment for them.

Genesis talks about em a little, they are Nephilim. The progeny of Angels and women. I'm a weirdo for believing this but I think that those ancient half-breeds may be where we get some of our myths. Think about it, legend has to have some truth to it right?

It could explain hercules, gilgamesh, etc. It could explain where we got so many gods. These supernatural humans could have easily been worshipped as gods by people who didn't know any better.

Somewhere else it says that when the nephilim perished that since their spirits were immortal that they became evil earth spirits.

That's why sometimes you see distinctions between spirits and demons in the bible.

That's my theory anyways...

So those names are the names of what are called the watchers. Basically naughty angels. They are also fallen angels.

The thing you have to research is the validity of the book of Enoch. It is in a set of books called the Apocrypha. Its not cannon because its authenticity cannot be verified.

However, unlike the gnostic gospels (written years after the Apostles), this one is old.
