Many are part of a system and until they know the system they will not want anything else. But there are some who know the truth of God and religions and there is nothing filthy about it.

I don't support deities but either do I support calling them filth . Try to control your temper and retain some sense of clarity and proportion . It won't be long before I'll have to disclaim Atheism as it is becoming a mirror image of those it opposes. I'll just refer to myself as non believing towards both sides because as irreligious as I may be Atheism is gradually becoming just another religion .

I think religion should not be taught until the child is old enough to make up their own mind. Say 16, like when they get their driver's license.

People live as they believe and that's not a filthy thing, even if it is
not popular. As long as people are kind, loving and hospitable, how can that be bad

It's their children... their prerogative.

I know I'd be pissed if someone tried to stop me from raising my child how I want (my husband is a deist and I'm atheist).

Most Christian truly believe they have found the way to heaven and wish to share it with anyone who will listen. They may not always be right but most don't mean any harm.

I think you should leave them be and let them raise their kids. Just because you don't agree doesn't mean it's ANY form of abuse, or irresponsibility.
