I'm not sure what the question is, but I'll answer the question that comes to mind. Why are there 10 before the flood and 10 after? It can mean that the writer is not necessarily including all of the generations, but is jumping some. For instance, in Biblical language, although my faather "begat" me, I can also say that my greatgrandfather "begat" me.

I'm sure that even 3520 to 3560 years ago, the begats were boring. They can't even be used to calculate anything (although you'd think they could be), because people jump in and say that a year represented fifty years, or a day for God is a year for Man or something like that.
