Denying God or Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Today I yawned and I think I started worrying about it again. How can I stop this? Please don't answer my question if you aren't Christian.

Here is the thing. As a christian the new testament tells you that you have been given the holy spirit as a seal. You cannot become a non christian ever again. Even if you deny god for the rest of your life, He holds on to you, not the other way around. "Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ" "There is therefore now No Condemnation" etc.
The blasphemy of the spirit cannot occur today. it could occur back then because the spirit did not indwell people. it merely came upon them. Today, you are indwelt by Christ. It can never happen taht you will commit that sin as those conditions no longer exist in this world.
So, quit worrying, it is simply not possible.

I agree with another poster, by you worrying about it, means you have the holy spirit residing in you. Yes it is possible for someone to say they have accepted Christ and not truly have accepted Him, Which is why there is so much confusion. It's called False Conversion. I'll tell you what helped me. Read Charles Stanleys book called Eternal Security. It's great. Remember the only way to Blaspheme the Holy Spirit is to out right deny Him. Which you cannot do if you are saved. That's what salvation is, acceptance of the gift of eternal life. I hope that helps.

is this a serious? ? I just don't understand why you would think that yawning would be a blasphemy of the holy spirit. being a christian yo would know that to blasphem that holy spirit would take muc much more than a yawn

A true born again christian believer can not deny God. I would pray and ask god to show you if you are really saved, He will give you peace about it if you are truly saved. Denying God is the only unforgiveable sin, and after much study on the subject, a true born again believer can not commit this sin.

hmm i read that and it made me yawn =\
yawning has nothing to do with it. worrying causes more damage on the body then blasphemy anyway.
u can take pills to calm yourself down.

If you worry about it, you haven't got a problem. Those who blaspheme the Holy Spirit get their hearts hardened to the point that they don't CARE about such things.

Daniel, it is quite alright to question certain religious happenings. It is the people who question so that they can satisfactorily understand that make the true Christians.
