Your argument comes directly from the conflict that began between Lucifer and God at the beginning of the world. Lucifer was created perfect and beautiful, and occupied a very high position in Heaven, second only to God. But his problem was that he let this position and his vanity go to his head. He believed he could do a better job of running the universe than God (and he was jealous of the humans God had created). So he led a revolt of 1/3 of the angels of Heaven against God, so God kicked him out of Heaven and sent him down here with all his fallen angels. God could have just destroyed him then and there, but it would only cause the good angels to obey him out of fear rather than love. The only way to prove to everyone that Lucifer's (now Satan's) "different opinion" was faulty was to allow Satan to implement his plan. So for 6,000 years, Satan has been in control of men's minds on this planet, and we have the history to prove it. So when Christ returns to destroy Satan and his followers, no one will pity Satan, and everyone will see that God's judgment was just. So when you ask if God is "too insecure" to want people with different opinions around Him - No, I don't think so, because those "different opinions" are just rebellion against God - people thinking they know better than God or know more than He does.

God created man and this world and made laws on how to live in this world. If a man makes laws in the earth that protect others and our environment is he called insecure when people come around him with differing opinions than his criticize him? For example, a man created the stop sign in order to help guard against the possibility of traffic accidents and to keep people safe. Should the man be called insecure if a bunch of people with differing opinions were to totally disregard his law just so they can drive however they see fit? I would think not. Just as God should not be looked at as insecure simply because He created this world and gave us His Word (the bible) on how to operate in it. If anything, similar to how the man who created the stop sign did it to keep drivers safe, God ought to be revered for how much He desires that we live, love, and be protected by Him.

People have made god seem secure. There isn't a document out there about god by god himself. People put words in his mouth.

If He were insecure He would not have given us minds and free will! We would be mindless God-loving robots, and don't you dare say we are!

His opinion is the only one that Counts. He is a sovereign God.

You'd be pretty insecure too if a lot of people didn't believe you exist :)

Honestly, I don't think He is.

If that were the case, He wouldn't have created us all with so many differences.
