No clue. I'm atheist but I agree, there's stigma in our country (either America or Europe) that being nonreligious is open-minded and religious is closeminded. I'm halfway convinced that this is a religion in itself and they're actually the ones who are intolerant. My example is this new game called "Left Behind" that basically is placed in the End Times and you're a group of Christians gathering an army to fight the antichrist. It got horrible reviews saying it promoted christianity and violence. Yet, what about games like Mortal Kombat that are waaaaaaaaay more violent? I don't see that banned from stores... Hypporcites, I tell ya!

It could also depend on many circumstances, that you as a single observer, are getting a biased pool view.

I think the thumbs down are to fundamentalists specifically, as opposed to Christians generally. Fundamentalists are trying to legislate their religious beliefs.

Our United States was founded as a secular nation. The U.S. Constitution says, "Congress shall make no law regarding the establishment of religion or restricting the free exercise thereof." The Treaty of Tripoli, signed into law by John Adams in 1797, specifically says, "The United States of America is NOT IN ANY SENSE founded on the Christian Religion ..." And yet, Fundamentalist so-called "Christians" are trying to take over this country and regress it back to the the religious oppression that our founders fought the revolution to be free of.

Our founders dedicated their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to giving us freedom, including religious freedom and a secular nation. So do I. Legislating religious beliefs is simply un-American and unacceptable.

Now, good Americans respect Christianity just as much as any religion, because, like every other religion, it's protected by that same freedom. But, good Americans MUST stop fundamentalists who try to destroy that freedom.

So, while I'm willing to respect Christians who also believe in the secularity of the United States, I have pledged my life, my fortune and my sacred honor to protecting this nation and its freedoms and I'll keep giving a thumbs down to anyone who threatens them.

I'm 'on the fence' on this. I'm pagan, so I'm not Christian or Atheist.
I usually give the least judgemental opinion a thumbs up....hmmm, wonder which one that would be? Perhaps the one that doesnt assume they have the 'one true belief', and that they may not have all the answers, but they've looked them up and used expiriences, rather than some old book.

Hmmm...I don't find it funny at all. I also don't think it's true.

Or maybe I was wrong...maybe not only SOME Christians are hypocrites, but ALL of them are, and because Christians seem to want to control many aspects of the world, that they (that is to say...you) are really right.

But I'm going with my first answer...
And the funny thing is: I'm not even Atheist - I belong to a religion!!

There are a lot of trolls around. Pathetic, maladjusted, creeps, who think they know everything, including how we should live, think and feel. People that are mad at the world because they feel that they are entitled to respect (none of them would ever try to earn any) even though they give no respect to anyone else. LOSERS who cannot do anything positive, they just want to spoil it for others. I personally think it is a self esteem issue and maturity issues for them.

yeap, it seems that way. It's also interesting how someone can ask what your favorite movie is, and when you respond, you get a thumbs down. Like, what's the real answer then? Anyhow, don't let it get next to you. Just keep asking and answering.
