With hindsight I now believe that in early childhood I sensed the presence of god . I did not know at the time or understand what was happening to me . I was walking down a country lane feeling really happy and at one with God and the world I can say I have never felt like it since . For He new all the sinful things I would think say and do, and despite that his hand was on my life . Even so , I can't say that I have acted on the teachings of his son Jesus Christ , as well as I should have done . All I can say is father in the name of Jesus Christ , look not upon my sinfulness but on the grace of your son and forgive a sinner like me. not my will farther but your will be done. in the name of Jesus Christ I ask this . It is so . Peter William lack .

Why would anyone WANT Yhvh to be the true God? Wouldn't it be preferable to believe in a non-denominational God that saves ALL good, decent people without reguard to creed? What is so appealing about a God who judges people not on their moral/ethical behavior, but on their belief in a story about a talking snake...??? Is it because you like the idea of a bigoted God?

I notice that non-Muslims have less rights than Muslims in most Islamic-ruled countries (Saudi, Iran, Sudan...etc).

Even in more liberal countries such as Egypt, Christians have limited rights to build new churches (they have to get permit from the PRESIDENT) or even to renovate their existing churches.

When I ask Muslims about this problem they always say that Muslim countries do not necessarily represent Islam. They say that the real Islam gives FULL rights to non Muslims.

However, when I read a letter sent by Khalifa Omar (second successor after prophet Muhammed) to Christians who lived in one of the cities he conquered, I found it is full of restrictions to their civil rights. Some examples are that they were not allowed to build new churches or to renovate existing ones, they had to wear special clothes to distinguish them from Muslims, they were not allowed to show any religious symbol in public.. etc.

When did non Muslims have FULL civil rights under Islamic ruling?

They have temples, schools of thoughts, Church hierarchies, a number of divinities (at least in Tibetan Buddhism), rituals, cosmological beliefs, prayers, monasteries...
What do people mean when they say Buddhism is not a religion? Is that a myth?

Maybe approximately rather. Are there any accounts of historical figures accepting god on their death bed? This question is not meant for attack so pls keep the odious infantile responses to a minimum at least. pls support your answer with facts, not opinion or personal views towards religion. thanks.

Anytime someone puts an intelligent answer or justification...he/she gets bombarded by 'thumbs down' and hateful answers....like about Islam or Quran or even Judism and even some cases Christianity (by christians themselves might i say) It would be really good if we all were a little open minded and open for constructive discussion.

why are people so ignorant and hateful ?

I woke up this morning with hate, hate for everyone, hate for myself, and so I looked around and saw others with that same hate in their soul and I realized for each of us hate has its origins. I once listened to a Holocaust survivor speak and he would say "hate breeds hate" repeatedly and while I don't know the depths of the type of hate he was speaking of I now realize the true meaning of that phrase. I can pinpoint the day I started hating and it was because of hate. Hatred that God allows freewill, the freewill for people to be brainwashed into hating through religion, the freewill for people to take the lives of other people, the freewill for people to profit from death, the freewill of people.....but freewill also allows freedom from hatred, freedom to know God is not copyrighted, freedom to know that the truth conquers all in the end.

If we were to ask a random Christian off the street: ''What was the religion of Jesus?'' They would unhesitantly respond: ''Christianity.'' If we were then to ask: ''Did Jesus himself ever use this word? Did he ever call his religion 'Christianity' or call his followers 'Christians'?'' If this Christian knows his Bible, he will say, ''No.'' So we will continue, ''once again, what was his religion?'' If this Christian knows his Bible he will now respond ''Judaism.'' We would affirm, Jesus was a Jew.He followed the religion of Moses.

There are manuscripts that suggest Jesus may have looked entirely different from the icon we know: a dark, hunch-backed short figure, with a villainy nose. There is evidence that Judas was never a 'Judas', Mary wasn't Jesus' mother, Josef not his father, and it could be argued that the man who died at the cross was Jesus' brother James rather than the god himself. Which would make his re-appearance at the tomb the likelier. Also, John the baptist may have started Christianity rather than Jesus.

So my question is, even if you have faith, what you base it on - and how much truth there is in there. Would you be willing to accept that what the church has been saying over the past two millennia may lack so much as a grain of truth?
