If we were to ask a random Christian off the street: ''What was the religion of Jesus?'' They would unhesitantly respond: ''Christianity.'' If we were then to ask: ''Did Jesus himself ever use this word? Did he ever call his religion 'Christianity' or call his followers 'Christians'?'' If this Christian knows his Bible, he will say, ''No.'' So we will continue, ''once again, what was his religion?'' If this Christian knows his Bible he will now respond ''Judaism.'' We would affirm, Jesus was a Jew.He followed the religion of Moses.

The word "Christian" somes from the skeptics of the first century church calling the earlier Christ followers, little Christs, which became Christians.

Jesus taught in synagogues, so obviously He was Jewish. However, he also taught what Jews do not believe, that He is the Messiah. So He is/was a Messianic Jew, which believes (as Christians do) that He is the Messiah.

A Christian is one who believes in Jesus Christ and all that He claimed. To ask if Jesus was a Christian is to ask if He believed in Himself. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say yes. He did and was.
