I attend a Contemporary service. We have contemporary music as well as hymns in every service.
Someone told me once that a church should ONLY use hymns, and that contemporary music isn't Godly.
What are your thoughts and why?

They always praise Him as good, just, loving, etc. But to say these things about God (or anyone) is to pass a judgement on their character - granted, the judgement is POSITIVE, but it's STILL judging!!! What they REALLY mean is, don't pass a NEGATIVE judgement on Him! If it is really forbidden to judge God, then we ought to say nothing either negative OR positive about Him - but of course, this would be unacceptable to the believers...

I have seen people of different races standing in the streets, selling Christianity and Jehova's books.
I asked a person, who was previously a Hindu, now a Christan. He told me that he is being paid for converting and promoting Christianity.
I have NEVER seen this childish acts even in under-developed countries.
What is this desparation? and whats the main motive behind?

In the Bible what exactly is the book Revolations trying to tell? I cant even get a basic idea of it. Can someone, briefly as possible, not w/ a ton of detail; tell me the basic ideas of this starting w/ Revolations 1-22?

What I can get out of it by myself is that countries on Earth do something and then Christ comes down and destroys them. Haha, I cant get this at all. Is there some kind of war, where the evil triumphs and kills the good; and then God comes and destroys the evil? What is going on?

Please help me

I believe the Jehovah's Witnesses excluded Michael Jackson in the mid 1980's, i.e. before any class 'c' gear was found in his bedroom, etc.

This is not an easy question. We are talking death here. Your own death. Look at your life and look at our country. Can the stakes be high enough, important enough to give up your own life?

For example, Mathew did not write the Gospel attributed to him: ''...And as Jesus passed forth thence, HE(Jesus) saw a man, named Mathew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and HE(Jesus) saith unto HIM(Mathew), follow ME(Jesus) and He(Mathew) arose, and followed HIM(Jesus).
mathew 9:9
'' Did ''Mathew'' write this about himself? Why then didn't Mathew write for example: ''he(Jesus) saw Me, and my name is Mathew. I was sitting at the receipt of custom......ect.

Question: Why do we say GOD BLESS YOU, when somone sneezes?
---------
Of course, several people came on to answer that, to give THE REASON why that happens. And, predictably, everyone gave a different story. Each one was (in their mind) the right one. But, all these different answers to explain something that simple.

And you wonder why so many of the stories in the bible, many handed down for decades before ever written down, are flawed and wrong? Do you REALLY have to wonder why? Isn't it obvious?

The four gospels give different accounts of jesus, the alleged virgin birth, the alleged resurrection, etc. Is it any wonder they're all different and flawed?

Is it any wonder that from one book, you get hundreds of different denominations -- who all worship differently and believe differently because they can't agree?

Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded to plant a vineyard. 21 When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent. 22 Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father's nakedness and told his two brothers outside. 23 But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father's nakedness. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father's nakedness.

24 When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him, 25 he said,
"Cursed be Canaan!
The lowest of slaves
will he be to his brothers."

26 He also said,
"Blessed be the LORD, the God of Shem!
May Canaan be the slave of Shem.

27 May God extend the territory of Japheth ;
may Japheth live in the tents of Shem,
and may Canaan be his slave."

Was he mad because Ham saw him drunk and naked, and told his other two brothers about it?

I constantly have to deal with religious people that reject and treat my like sh*t cause i don't believe in or follow their religious morals. I meet people that will never be able to merry or befriend anyone outside of their religous movement and they will even go as far as war because of their religion. What exactly is the purpose of religious morals if it causes so much hate and judgement in the world?

What makes your religion different from all the others? Why should I follow your religion? Please give me good reasons for following your religion and rejecting all others. Here are a few guidelines:

-If you quote from a religious text, please demonstrate the validity of this text. Your religion is not correct simply because its holy book says it is correct. This is circular reasoning.

-If your religion claims to have made a prophecy and then later fulfilled it, please prove that (a) it has happened, and (b) it is not self-fulfilling.

-Threatening me with hellfire is pointless, because other religions also threaten nonbelievers with hellfire, thus making your religion no different from any other.

-Saying I just need to have faith is unconvincing, because other religions claim this as well.

-In short, making assertions without proof is not convincing and a waste of my time and your time. Please back up your claims with hard evidence.
