How much truth is there to it?

He never placed a time on any prediction. That is why every prediction is "said to have been accurate". If you wait long enough in this world everything will eventually happen. I am not sure that this answer matches your question. OR is it that your question did not match this answer? I hope that you are able to decifer what is what here...

He very clearly predicted the world to end about a thousand years ago. Therefore, I wouldn't trust any of his other predictions - why would he keep predicting stuff that would happen after the world ended unless he knew he was just making it up?

The Catholic Church has the worse part sealed up. It predicts crust movement due to earths rotation changed in one day.

His quatrains only are identified after the fact and are conveniently matched up with some kind of event.

I think he was a looney and we have no idea whne the end is.
