a way of bribing children into adopting christianity and by instilling guilt at a early age?

Is it not - the oldest trick in the book - that we give them presants, and then we take some of the pleasure away by ensuring we also give them the christmas message - or making sure they don't loose sight of it - if they enjoy the presants to much.

Aren't we just instilling guilt at a early age (as it is impossible to not be guilty over christmas)?

Isn't that what christmas is about - making children guilty?

My experience is that most people know absolute crap about Judaism, or any any other relgion that isn't their own, but so many seem to think they know everything about everyone else's It'very annoying, especially when they argue.

In Matt 8:19 it refers to a "Teacher of the law." Can I assume they are basically saying a Law Professor or is there more to that reference?

Most people who believe, in God, think this question too easy, to give serious consideration to,because if you were to ask a believer in God, who is your God? They feel it could be very easily answered, by them presenting their own personal viewpoint, the answer would most likely be "well the God of the Bible".That's my God, but, now, can the question be dismissed with so little consideration? that is one just giving his own personal viewpoint as to who he says God is, for example: What does the God you claim to be yours, say of you as a worshiper? Does he acknowledge you as one of his servants?Does he accept your worshiper of his? Does jhe accept you as one of his worshipers? If not, then, even though he is God, he is not your God! So it's not just a matter of expressing one's viewpoint, saying my God is the God of the Bible, it must also take into consideration what does the God of the Bible think of you as a worshiper? and wether you are acceptable to him as one of his servants.

Am I eligible to celebrate X-mas Or would you dislike it (if you knew about me setting up a Christmas tree in my house)?

Do I at least have to be friends with a Christian in real life to wholly celebrate the spirit of Christmas?

Or is it a free-for-all deal?

Does this question sound hypocritical?

You see that people here claim they are open minded but yet when presented with the Gospel, they attack it and call it a fable. I thought Open minded means you look at all sides.

I don't think religion has any place in the classroom, and I think most western religions breed intolerance. I'm also concerned about how superstition leads to crazy witchunts. Is it time to neutralise all religious references in the classroom to prevent ignorance and disinformation?

Ok, I've gone thru a few posting about wicca & peganism, and see how they continually point out that they don't even believe in satan. But 1 thing that I've seen on a regular basis is that they say satan was made up by Christians way back when. Do you not realize he's in the Old Testament which the Jews followed and believed in?
