Actually, the entire world doesn't use A.D. any more; the new version is C.E., meaning "Common Era."

They don't.

Asian calendars are completely different, the Chinese year is based on Dynasties, as is the Japanese calandar, although they frequently display both for the purpose of business relations and westernization. Islam and Hindu have different calandars as well.

For the rest of the world, firstly consider that by 1914 80% of the world had been colonized by the west, and many remnants remain of our civilization that was imposed upon them. But in modern times the term A.D is now replaced by C.E for Common Era. It is a more universal term for the remnents of our own calandar.

Short answer: the influence of the Catholic Church

Long answer: see the link

One doesn't have to believe in Christ to use A.D. any more than one has to believe in Woden to use Wednesday. Personally, I think B.C.E. and C.E. are silly and illogical (just what do people think they are dating FROM?). If Christians demanded that the names of the days of the week be changed, the same people who push for B.C.E. and C.E. would laugh.

People around the world use a lot of calendars, the Gregorian one is just one of them.

C.E. replacing A.D. is just plain stupid, it's more like pleasing those who are against Christ and angrying those believe in Christ than pleasing those who don't believe in Christ..

Most people think A D means After Death. It doesn't. It represents a latin phrase Ano Domini which means in the year of our Lord.

Cultures all over the world acknowledge God.

They have actually changed B.C. and A.D. to B.C.E. (before common era) and C.E. (common era) because some people who didn't believe in God said that we shouldn't base historical dates on the birthday of Jesus.
