Im Catholic "by birth" but i'd like to have an open mind and would actually be described as "in search of truth". I used to read & research books/publications by other religious denominations but I'd like to explore the internet w/ regards to this endeavor. Any website w/ biblical teachings, sermons, or doctrines would be highly appreciated. Thanks. Pls dont answer "go to Google", I'd like a website that you've tried and been using yourself.

Ok, I know I'll get the "age comments". But I have to ask this. Everytime I mention time speeding up, people either say oh that happens as you get older, or "it's just the pace of our world the technology", yet none of these tell me anything.

How can technology speed time up? I am not using anything different that I was using as a kid basically apart from typing on the internet here and that is it. I barely watch TV anymore, I have a chronic illness and time should pass slower than ever, yet every year it seems faster.

I noticed it starting around 1998 1999 and I was only 25. The odd thing is, when I asked a few others, without telling them what year I started to notice it, they all said "oh about 1999", and one of them was only 19 at the time.

I hear others talking about it and even kids mention it also, so it's not age related. I'd just be interested in hearing if anybody else is noticing it.

The Greek Authodox preists are going to bless the ocean water on January 7. They did the same thing a year ago. Has last years blessing expired? Is water blessed by the Pope more holy than water blessed by a first year novice priest ?

I've found that my church tends to tip-toe around some topics like Noah getting drunk and passing out, the use of instruments in praising God, etc. Does yours?

This Sha’ria rule clearly demonstrates that an adult Muslim man can marry an infant girl and an adult woman at the same time.
Hedaya Vol. I Book III, page 71 (Ref. 6)
Case of one of two wives suckling the other-If a man marry an infant and an adult and the latter should give milk to the former, both wives become prohibited with respect to that man [their husband], because if they were to continue united in marriage to him, it would imply the propriety of joint cohabitation with the foster-mother and her foster-daughter, which is prohibited, in the same manner as joint cohabitation with a natural mother and daughter-It is to be observed on this occasion, that if the husband should not have had carnal connexion with the adult wife, she is not entitled to any dower whatever, because the separation has proceeded from her, before consummation :-but the infant has a claim to her half dower.
Has this Sharia been changed?

Question 1 - If Christians follow the scriptures than why do they not obay this?

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Jeremiah%2010:1-5;&version=9;

Question 2 - What is the East and the West when the world spins on its axis in a east and west direction. What was on the east at 12:00am will be the oppisite at 12:00 pm. The true determination is the North and the South - and when I look at the map it seems to show clearly who is in the North and Who is in the South.

Does God change ppl's personalities? If they weren't mentally ill anymore, wouldn't that make them an entirely different person? WHo might not have made into heaven/ hell?

Most atheist seem to prefer intellect and reason over religious faith, but I don't understand how they conclude there is no God, heaven or hell, and adamently defend this position. What proof exist to support this theory? I find this to be extremely conflicting.

In the absence of absolute proof, how can an opinion be formed?

Personally, until someone convinces/prooves to me that they have actually died (and I mean longer than a few minutes) and there is nothing after this life, I would rather appear foolish than be foolish while making ASSumptions about something that I can't prove. A certain amount of fear is healthy, particularly when there is no eraser and no do-overs..

Would we not do better to learn from each other rather than being critical. If we are here to say I am the one who is right than to learn, then what good gets done?? Isn't getting along more important then being right??
