I would suggest you check out Beliefnet.com http://www.beliefnet.com/ which I like because it allows me to pick and choose what I want to get guidance from as well as it has discussion boards on issues.
Good Luck!!!

Well, I would encourage you to find out whether the bible is true and whether you can trust in it. The foundation of all our beliefs are based on where we believe we really came from, how things started.
Here is a website you might be interested in. http://www.ucg.org.au/offersNZ/ev.asp?gclid=COXFlIictYkCFSGeYAodZx8fMQ certainly, the books they provide are very interesting to read and enlightening also.
Even if you just browse over it and see if you feel like learning more or not. My father is studying Creationism, as most of us have been inundated with evolution beliefs and never got to hear the other side to the story. He is soon to be putting up a website of his own, but so far in the early working stages of it.

The best way to become as spiritually enlightened and religiously inspired is to look at your own life and what you've done to further those beliefs without harming someone else in the process.
Rack up what you think you've done right and what you believe you've not been so successful at.
Keep the first column in the larger proportions and I'd say you deserve to feel pretty good about yourself.

If you want to be nearer to God you already are! If you want to try something unconventional, have a look at this website: www.friendsinmeditation.com where you can learn how to do Christian meditation. But the best place to do research about God is the Bible.

Here are a couple of BUddhist websites you might like to look at.
Buddhism doesn't have a concept of a personal God but looks to the cessation of suffering as its main goal. Turns out that the way to attain the cessation of suffering is a very spiritual path.

www.throssel.org
Good luck with deepening your spirituality.

Any of the course in miracles websites are good. Some charge a fee for downloads though.
The course is especially interesting to catholics for some reason.
Over half of the people in my study group are or were catholics.

You do not find God on a website. Jesus said that the kingdom od heaven is within you. Open up the Bible and begin reading it and you will find God at your side very quickly. The Holy Spirit will touch you and he will direct your reading.

If you want to get nearer to God. Stop trying to understand things intellectually, and start experiencing it personally.
"God is a spirit, and those who worship Him do so (in spirit) and in truth."
Read Job 12.
