This is a difficult question to answer because it involves discussing some principles that the person you are witnessing to may or may not agree with. For example, does he or she agree with you that truth is knowable, that God would attempt to communicate with His people, or that only one religion may be right? Usually, I start by acknowledging the difficulty of coming to an easy answer. However, I tell them that I do have an answer; I am sure it is the right one, because it is an answer based on evidence. What kind of evidence? Prophecy and its fulfillment Jesus and His miracles, the resurrection of Christ, etc. Then I ask that person if he or she knows of these things happening in other religions.(1) The answer is invariably, "No." Then I point out that they have only happened in Christianity. If any religion were true, Christianity fits the bill.
What makes you think the Bible is the word of God?
Prophecy. The Old Testament was written before Jesus was ever born. The New Testament was written by the men who knew Jesus, who walked with Him, ate with Him, and learned from Him. In the O.T. there are prophecies concerning His birthplace (Micah 5:1-2), that He would be born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14), that He would be rejected by His own people (Isaiah 53:3), that He would be betrayed by a close friend (Isaiah 41:9), that He would die by having His hands and feet pierced (Psalm 22:16-18), and that He would rise from the dead (Psalm 16:10, 49:15). In the N.T. all these prophecies, and many more, are fulfilled by Jesus. Now, this is the question you must answer: "If the Bible is not inspired from God, then why does it have so many fulfilled prophecies?" How is that possible if the Bible were not from God? Only God knows the future, has power over it, and can look into it to tell us exactly what will happen. In the Bible we have the fingerprints of God: fulfilled prophecy!
Wisdom. The Bible is full of the greatest truths about man and God, sin, and salvation. The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5) is beautiful in its wisdom, humility, and love. The Psalms are incredible poetry of great depth and beauty. The N.T. epistles are great descriptions of love, forgiveness, longsuffering, kindness, etc. (Even if you don't want to become a Christian, studying the truth God has revealed in the Bible will greatly help you in your life.) The aim is not to merely get the person to use the Bible as a guide to good living, but to encourage him to read it. This way, he will at least be reading the Word of God, and be that much closer to conversion, because God's Word will accomplish what He wants it to (Isaiah 55:11).

Because it says so several places in the Bible, at least indirectly.
Like when Jesus said "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven."
Of course, those Christians who realize that there is almost always some leverage for non-believers in Christ's teachings know that it is hardly impossible for non-believers to make it to Heaven.
When non-Christians live decent, moral, and loving lives, they are following in the footsteps of Christ even if they don't realize it or reject Jesus' teachings, and thus can be saved even without voluntarily trying to do so.
That is the mystery of human salvation: That Jesus died for all humans alike, the good and the bad, the rich and the poor, the believers and the non-believers.

It's God's job to judge, thankfully not me - I don't want that responsibility of sorting it all out - but I do believe the words that Christ spoke - John 14:6 " I am the way, the truth and the light - no one comes to the father except through me"
You make quite an assumption that no one in India has heard this, or other parts of the world for that matter.

Who told you that? And what is the exact source? Well, pal I would say sometimes what people say and believe are not accurate. Do you read the Bible. Whether you read it or not I will tell you this truth, yes, perhaps there are many Christians believed so, but who powerfully say that? Is it not stated in the Bible that "the first will be last, and the last will be firs?" My point is, yes a number of Christians thought that way, yet, they should be careful because JUDGEMENT is from God. God judges every human being according to his/her belief, by the light he/she had received. Now, Christians per se, have no any right to condem non-Christians, because even in their case, who can tell if they mess up at the latter end of their Christian life journey. So, take heart my friend. But, if any non-Christians heard about the "truth", then, do not delay. Time is precious though.

There are three religions believe that they are prevailing and they are superiors over the other religions [Christians-Muslims and Jews], the three religions say the same thing and they claim its GOD WORDS, !! if God want to speak then should have speak to us all at one time and now!!!
Its just a way of telling other people living on earth planet you are going to hell no more, I have a religion which is one of the three,, but I don't follow this part of it when it comes to judge people before the judgment day

The essence of truth is unchanged, but the interpretations vary.
He who obeys the commands of God enjoys all the good things, he who does not must naturally suffer. People in various parts of the world receive the commands of God through Hinduism, Buddism, Islam...
Christ has clearly stated that it is not those who say Lord, Lord...will enter the heaven, but it is those who do the Will of God.
Moreover, heaven and hell are not two saparated places in the unknown space, but it is the heavlenly bliss and the hellish burning in each obedient or wavering soul.

Mt 19:30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
Just want, "Code Tiger" to know this verse is in the Bible.
Also want you to know if you die without making Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior, then you will end up in the lake of fire. Because you have heard the truth, and will have no excuses.
People who have never heard I can't say, but I know God will judge fairly.

I don't believe all non-Christians are going to Hell - they may not. They have a choice - to either accept Jesus' gift of salvation or choose Hell - that is it. I believe the non-Christian can be saved and see Heaven - there is hope. Blessings to you dear one. I pray you find the Truth - Jesus Christ - for yourself.

I love the answers you're getting. No where in the Bible does it state that "All Non-Christians are going to hell". I wonder if they realize that when they add stuff like this and claim that God said it, that the same Bible states curses will be given to them for adding to His Word?
I'm not sure why so many believe that... I guess it makes them feel special. Like God respects them over others because they believe something others don't.

because this is what the bible says and this is our belief. however, god is the only one to decide who goes to hell and who doesn't. i truly believe that we have a forgiving loving god and not all non believers deserve to be cast to eternal damnation in a fiery black hole. though if you dont believe in god or hell you shouldn't worry about such a thing. you have been warned and the knowledge of accepting Christ is there for you. it is your choice to accept Christ and follow his words or not. if not, you may have to suffer the consequences and answer to God.
